Traditional serve - To enjoy traditional absinthe pour one measure of La Fée Absinthe Parisienne into a glass. Distilled in Paris based on a 19th Century recipe containing wormwood, La Fée Parisienne is a classic Absinthe Supérieure, distilled using 100% natural ingredients, in collaboration with Marie-Claude Delahaye, founder and curator of the French Absinthe Museum. Traditionally distilled in copper stills, the flavour of La Fee is entered around grand wormwood (Artesimia Absinthium) and balanced with petit wormwood, green and star anis.

But if prepared in the correct way with ice cold water dripped over a sugar cube set over a glass of absinthe (spoon comes with the absinthe) it's quite delightful. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. It is distilled in Paris based on a 19th Century recipe and made with 100% natural ingredients including 60% grand wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium). French and Swiss Absinthe was enjoyed by millions across the world in the 19th and early 20th Centuries. Distilled in Paris, La Fée Parisiennie Absinthe is a powerful and heady spirit based on a 19th Century recipe, distilled from aged wormwood to create an intense depth of flavour.

To protect the all-natural Parisienne the bottle has been coated with a special UV inhibitor to protect the liquid against sunlight, which can quickly damage the natural green. This allows the more delicate herbal flavours and aromas to emerge, such as fennel, coriander and hyssop, as well as the strong spicy undertones of anise. The emerald green colour is all part of the absinthe experience, too, and La Fée Parisiennie Absinthe’s bottle has been covered with a UV-resistant coating to preserve the green colour of the liquid inside, which can be affected by sunlight. The level of Grand wormwood [Artemisia Absinthium] in the distillation has been increased by 60% and the Green and Star Anise has been slightly softened.

Both techniques (blending separate distillations and single distillation) were employed pre 1915 in France. Tested and approved before bottling by Marie-Claude Delahay, founder and curator of Le Musee de l'Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France. This involves mascerating the botanicals in the base spirit which imparts a natural green colour to the finished product and is identical to the techniques used in the 1800's.
