This allows the more delicate herbal flavours and aromas to emerge, such as fennel, coriander and hyssop, as well as the strong spicy undertones of anise. The emerald green colour is all part of the absinthe experience, too, and La Fée Parisiennie Absinthe’s bottle has been covered with a UV-resistant coating to preserve the green colour of the liquid inside, which can be affected by sunlight. The level of Grand wormwood [Artemisia Absinthium] in the distillation has been increased by 60% and the Green and Star Anise has been slightly softened.

Both techniques (blending separate distillations and single distillation) were employed pre 1915 in France.
