About this deal

He sees his purchase of OK Computer and underneath it says "if you like this you'll love this even more". Will usually dispatch within same working day if paid before 14:00 GMT (excludes weekends and holidays). This is one of them and I loved it when it was released all those years ago and I still love it to this very day. Mezzanine topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand, becoming the group's most commercially successful album to date.

Review: Given Massive Attack's background, it was almost inevitable that they'd release a dub overhaul of one of their albums at one point. As per the original release, the artwork is by Hingston studios who have worked with Robert Del Naja from the band. Universal Music will issue a 20th anniversary reissue of Massive Attack‘s third studio album Mezzanine. I actually missed out on the earlier releases, because I was too deep into hip-hop in the early nineties and I did not consider massive attack's sound to be hip-hop enough! This time round, the re-mastered original set comes accompanied by something none of us have heard before: Mad Professor's complete dub translation, which was slated for release around the turn of the Millennium but for one reason or another never came out. This third album signalled a change in sonic direction that played more explicitly on the darkness and tension that was always an undercurrent of their much loved debut Blue Lines and successor Protection. To be sure, this album is very challenging material for the vinyl format; plenty of deep bass and also very crystalline highs, particularly on Elizabeth Frazer on "teardrop", but also on all the female vocalists featured on this album. Originally released in 1998 and now widely hailed as Massive Attack‘s masterpiece – and voted 15th in Q Magazine’s 100 Greatest British Albums Ever (2000) – Mezzanine saw the band move away from the trip-hop sound they had helped define to embrace rock and electronica. Every record is shipped in original factory-applied shrink wrap and has never been touched by human hands.

Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. All-time classics such as "Unfinished Sympathy", "Safe From Harm" and "Hymn of the Big Wheel" have lost none of their soulful, mood-enhancing brilliance, while lesser celebrated cuts such as "Five Man Army" and "Lately" still sound great despite their vintage. Renowned graffiti artist [a151718], known then as 3-D, played a significant role in adopting and popularizing the Massive Attack slogan. Like his take on "No Protection", it's an inspired set of revisions that takes 3D and Daddy G's dense and red-eyed originals into wild new bass-heavy places.Never seen a copy of the original pressing which is not off-centre on one side of the first disc and often the second as well. By the release of 1998's Mezzanine , critics were suddenly of the understanding that Massive Attack were one of the most important bands in the world. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. But I bought this one in late July of the year 2023 and received an amazingly good sounding set of records that aren't cut too loud but still using the space of one disc's side for two to three tunes, making them sound like a 12" 45. Sound-wise the remaster is subtle but allows some elements to show through with extra clarity - thankfully no brick-walling (which would have made this material totally unplayable!
