Such a Shame that the talent and stammer required to be a professional Irish Dancer was totally Lost in this Miss Mash of a nonsensical Show. This has been the problem for 20 years, since he transformed traditional Irish dance into souped-up spectacles. The main reason to see Michael Flatley’s “ Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games,” which opened on Tuesday at the Lyric Theater, is to watch Michael Flatley dancing. Michael Flatley, who has recently retired from UK performances, is excited to hand over the reins to such talented performers.

A blond good girl fights with a brunette seductress for the hero’s affections, but don’t expect the virgin-whore dichotomy to hold. As the first half of the show begins the audience are greeted with a projected Michael Flatley and a giant clock alluding to the opening of the show. The plot follows a little Spirit with a magic flute who battles against evil to save Ireland from being taken over by evil cyborgs.

The show’s best section and what will always be their most iconic is the ‘Lord of the Dance’, and the skill of the cast is amazing in which they gave four Encores at the end of the show of that very dance which was met with a standing ovation from the whole audience at St David’s Hall. The tour is one of the biggest the UK has ever had and has currently been seen by 60 million people in 60 different countries on every continent. He took a genre of ethnic-pride competitions and small spaces (Irish dance lore is full of stories of dancing on doors taken down off their hinges or even on plates), and he blew it up and gave it mass appeal. All of the stops are pulled out in this Irish Dancing Extravaganza with dancing that is simply mesmerising. Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games is set to have its West End premiere at the legendary London Palladium on 1 September, 2014.

Flatley’s productions have sold out in theatres around the world for years, and he insists this is due to such positive word of mouth. First came “ Riverdance,” followed by the original “Lord of the Dance,” productions that conquered the world and sold out stadiums. Consumer Products by Snow Commerce, which is soley responsible for the site's content and all aspects of your purchase. They all managed to hold attention of the audience due to their frequent costume changes and the cleaver projections that portrayed Ireland as an Idyllic place filled with Unicorns and rainbows. You can’t help but have a big smile on your face when the full ensemble cast fill the width of the stage at St David’s Hall and with their legs kicking and tapping in perfect sync.Synopsis: Live performance of the Irish dance and musical production created, choreographed and starring Michael Flatley.

The main lead Lord of the Dance was played by James Keegan and the Dark Lord was played by Zoltan Papp. The cast at the Playhouse Theatre will be led by James Keegan and Morgan Comer, who have both won every major title in competitive Irish Dance. The perfectly balanced ensemble of male and female dancers help to give depth to the story and in the dance sequences when they are all in a line and coordinated it really is something to admire. Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games showcases exciting and ground-breaking new technology, world champion acrobats and the greatest team of Irish Dancers the world has seen. If you’re a fan of this type of dancing and the Irish music and culture this show is without a doubt the show for you to attend next. With all the visceral precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games features new staging, new costumes and mesmerising new choreography. The ostensible hero, the Lord of the Dance, loses his prize belt to a cyborg-like Dark Lord and wins it back with the help of a Little Spirit, a small and irritating gymnast who looks as if she were drizzled with glue and then rolled in sequins. In my opinion this show is something everyone should experience once in their lifetime as it will enthral you. With new music by composer Gerard Fahy, this ‘extraordinary and supremely stirring show’ (Daily Telegraph) combines the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance.
