I’m strict with my working schedule but not insane—I work best in the morning so I front-load my day with any tasks that require deep concentration. I have not worked in an office in over five years, so the biggest change brought on by the presence of COVID-19 is just the quantity of time spent at home. Leigh created a workbook to accompany our Fall 22 campaign, and answered her own prompts during a week of traveling through the stillness of New Mexico. I also usually drink an obscene amount of sparkling water, cold brew, and matcha on repeat all day long. Journaling can synthesize our idea of who we appear to be and who we actually are, serving as a hinge between our abstract ideas of personhood versus the tangible details of our days.

The Moon Lists are a side project for Leigh, a true passion project for which she exerts the same care and dedication that she puts into her clients’ work. A set of evolving monthly writing prompts and suggestions for physical activities can be completed individually or with a partner, and will offer readers some perspective on the present and their recent past. Choosing the way you observe, reflect on, and document what’s going on at present is a reminder: you are in control of your narrative. Originally a newsletter series, the Moon Lists brings together strangers from across the globe each sharing a response to a series of personal questions and prompts. As longtime readers of Leigh Patterson’s online project, Moon Lists, this book is a fun personal way to connect with the author’s engaging questions. At the end of each month is a set of questions constructed to look back on the last four weeks as a collective whole. profit from all purchases at She's Lost Control is donated to Crystal Clear - the social enterprise empowering artisanal mining communities.

We are so excited to welcome our founder and director Olivia Crighton as a practitioner in the therapy room, where she will be offering a variety of healing services. The deepest care I give myself is something that ultimately does not end in selfish progress but supports growth in levels that go beyond my life and narrow experience. The Moon Lists by Leigh Patterson is a workbook filled with questions, list-making ideas, and prompts for taking inventory of the self; One step in a direction of exploring parts of the mind + present tense that are new, unknown, and full of possibility. I wrote to Abell, requesting to see the other questions on his list…and for permission to recreate his idea through the perspectives of different contributors. Loosely organized around the phases of the moon and punctuated with references to ’70s astrology, architecture, and art, Moon Lists encourages journalers to stop and reflect on the precious moments in their lives before time passes them by.And while that seems like maybe a parent’s cliched nightmare-ish combo, today my work for Moon Lists and also for my studio LUCCA (aka my “real” job) touches on all these things. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I realized recently that the narrative I was telling others in casual conversation needed adjusting. Structured around the phases of the moon, this guided journal encourages weekly reflections through eighteen months worth of writing prompts and suggestions, with references to astrology, architecture, and art. We took a moment with her to reflect on her journey and explain about her unique services, as well as discovering her.

If you can see a thing more as a whole you can better understand it or see that it’s beautiful, or necessary, or stupid. Originally this existed solely as an interview series, where I would ask different women to respond to prompts based on their last month. We're on a mission to give you more time for the things that matter most, while leaving this planet better than we found it. There are different ways to consider the present, from the objects and themes that are front-ofbrain to the sensory details that have filled in the spaces in between moments. Maybe you develop your own ritual surrounding self-reflection (lighting a candle or a stick of special incense). You can define “the last four weeks” however you want: maybe you complete your list on the first of each month or maybe you just jump in whenever you can.
