I had to go get the box to read the label and also give it a sniff..definitely a almost minty cool soapyness in this.. smells pretty good.. a little different than i remember the first few times i tried it before. the first few times i thought is was kinda spicy.. though it does have a good deal of spiciness in it, with one spray, this scent is perfect. Thisis a fairly strong fragrance, and lasts a pretty long time. you could probably call this a powerhouse, so overspraying with more than one or two sprays might not be the best move with this one. hmm... a bit of fougere like fresh greenness. there is a spiciness underneath.. as it begins to open i get the scent similar to those jasmine tobacco flowers.. and warmth, a touch of soapiness in there at times, some sweetness, a slight tangy bitterness with that, roughened dry woody spice. patchouli. maybe some fir. Reminds me of walking into a high-end tobacco store. The kind you don't find anymore, except maybe in a large metropolitan city. Imagine a room sized humidor with large clear glass jars of various pipe tobacco's and expensive cigars on display. Fragrance is also a unique part of your style. Much like grooming, you want to look your best and smell your best. With Aramis long line of classic men’s cologne, you can select from traditional musky liquor-infused scents to lighter, more botanical aromas like nature. But with 38 perfumes, which one should you choose? The composition is built around woody, sharp notes, which are very powerful and masculine. Aramis is one of the few contemporary fragrances in which the well-known intensive leather note can easily be recognized. Aramis is one of the brands belonging to Estee Lauder. It is very popular in America, where fragrances with a stronger character are preferred. Startled (and slightly aroused), you take in the aroma escaping from the room. That is the smell of "Aramis."

I keep trying with this one, as it is held in such high regard. Dry down is nice, but not mind blowing for me. But that opening- I just can't take the potpourri vibes. This is now in my swap/sell stash. Aramis starts off as a peppery fragrance that is citrusy with quite a bit of green. However, while I clearly got the artemisia, I could not smell the gardenia at all and I never would have guessed that there is myrrh included as well… Boyfriends for their girlfriends older men might like this one, and let’s be honest, your girlfriend probably bought it for herself. Knowing that It has been reformulated, I was so careful with my last bottle from 2013 and using it occasionally. but eventually, I had to buy a new one, and I think I am fit to compare them both and write my honest opinion.l love the scent but it doesn't seem to last long on my skin...l could be wrong and just not smelling it. It does have a similar scent to Quorum but l can say that it last longer than Quorum. l hate l have this issue because l was really looking forward to enjoying this fragrance since l am a big fan of the older masculine power house fragrances. I will continue to test and update later. It's rare that I'm in the mood to write about a scent that is mostly distinguished by its erotic masculinity, but this golden liquid is an invitation to a one-night stand in a bottle. Aramis doesn’t pretend to be someone. Aramis it’s a stunning leather, that while all macho in its campaigns and visuals, it also has room for the gentle and romantic man. Given the similarities to Cabochard, marketed towards women, as Azurée, it’s clear that for perfumers, perfume has no gender. A formula, twisted and modified, revealing different sides to fit the gender that marketing executives deem right. Bullshit! Bernard Chant flipped them the middle finger (Aramis/Azurée, Cinnabar/J.H.L, Aromatics Elixir/Aramis 900…) and gave us basically the same perfume in a different bottle. I’m sure he and Estée had a blast! My Aramis. What have they done to you? You are a castrated version of yourself from the 90’s. Still love your scent, but your longevity has seriously decreased - 4 hours max on me. Aramis to young guys in the US is what Eau Sauvage is to young guys in France and Germany; a cologne that starts you off in the world of scent. Mothers love this smell on their boys... grown up, manly, but not pretentious or obnoxious. It states itself confidently and brings smiles to those around you.

Eau de Parfum or EDP is one of the most popular forms of fragrance. Eau de Parfum contains between seven to fourteen per cent of fragrance oils and perfume elixirs and is the second strongest, and longest lasting means of wearing a fine fragrance. I think the term 'barbershop' is often overused to describe scents within the modern frag community. With that being said...Aramis could be succinctly summed up as a barbershop scent. Created in 1966, it is a little more old fashioned, but it’s a scent you can’t go wrong with. Like scotch, it’s traditional yet remains modern and contemporary. Who can wear it: In the end? It’s decent, will wear after a shower around the house for the joy of the scent and masculine nature of it, and maybe here and there at work, but I still prefer, above all, Bois Du Portugal. It's truly a classic and timeless masterpiece of a fragrance. Unbeatable. That’s signature scent worthy! Even with the price tag.I wish I had the confidence to pull this off when I was younger as I've always loved the aroma, but it only fits a certain ago (in my opinion.) In this case don’t care to much about notes. The scent, is scent of Aramis and that's it all. You must to smell it to know. and believe me it’s worth trying. Aramis adventurer is relatively safe and versatile, which is surprisingly contradictory to the name! The longevity of the scent is outstanding, lasting up to five hours. This is a modern take on the classic Aramis cologne and won’t fill the room since it has a weaker projection. It makes for a unique and sophisticated summer fragrance. Who can wear it: Aramis was the first fragrance for men to be sold in department stores, having been launched in 1966. Named after a character in Alexandre Dumas' classic "The Three Musketeers", this perfume caused a sensation at the time and continues to attract new followers with each generation. Aramis has maintained its equity, global brand status and appeal over the years. It is distinctly masculine and unmistakably elegant, a provocative and eternally contemporary perfume. On 1st spray I got a sharp hit of lemon, a blast. Not unlike YSL pour homme, except unlike YSL PH it was:

Aramis, as said, was no exception after all this and today, due to reduced ingredients and notes and castration, most such perfume bombs are almost impossible to smell freely anymore (Unless you own vintage versions with oak moss and other additives!) Unfortunately, today's version has been watered down to a greater extent - but it still has its characteristic, recognizable the smell just doesn't have such a monstrous strength anymore.. In the meantime, they discontinued it, but they started producing it again - because it's simply a masterpiece, which today's mostly younger noses with today's "modern" fragrances mostly and they turn their noses up and call it boldly outdated and bland.. Aramis for men is very classy and dated winter fragrance. It is very close to Givenchy Gentlemen 1974 and Azzaro Pour Homme. Very old-fashioned.I noticed too that Tuscany also seems more lemony, with bit of an overt burst to start. It's nowhere near as ruined as Aramis, but its definitely lighter & brighter, but not in a good or wanted way. That said, you can still at least ID it as Tuscany. Trenchantly old school to my nose, this would typically be considered masculine by most (if that helps...) Estēe Lauder Companies did some reorganizing, which sparked an internet rumor they were dropping Aramis* - a classic fragrance from my youth. Investigation revealed this to be untrue but it did cause me to buy some Aramis aftershave and deodorant. Aramis is rather strong so just a few dabs of aftershave suffice - no need for EdT. Aramis (and I) is older now, but Aramis is a classic - like a gullwing Mercedes. And I enjoy wearing it. I mostly get the base notes, which are expertly mixed and gives me the manly smell that I wear & smell like. I wear fragrances for myself because a great scent elevates my mood and state of mind. But, don’t be fooled by the people saying ladies don’t love Aramis. Any woman 25-30+ will understand and love this scent. The majority of younger individuals won’t like Aramis because they won’t understand it. It takes a mature nose to recognize the greatness here, but once you get it… you LOVE it. There is something very evocative about the scent.
