Brewed since 1383, Lowenbrau is still produced in Munich and is brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot (purity law) that dates back to 1516. Taste is less skunky which is nice; really awesome crackers white bread vibes, a very light touch of sweetness; touch of noble hops on finish. Pours brilliantly clear gold with a beautiful sustaining white head; great initial lacing which slowly gets weaker but a thick film of white persists. It is joined by The Warehouse Taproom, Bar and Restaurant , a fantastic venture which allows us to showcase our superb drinks range, with an accompaniment of great dishes. Labatt's production of Löwenbräu ended in 2002 and exports of Munich Löwenbräu to North America resumed, although on a much smaller scale than had been the case before the Miller deal.

As brewer and owner, Ludwig Brey acquired the neighboring properties of Nikolaus Nassl, a Bierwirt (seller of beer). Mouthfeel is very nice, light body, incredibly d dry and clean, low but noticeable touch of bitter; the carbonation is so vibrant and creamy at once; probably my favorite aspect of this beer.
