Description

Henry’s little sister is Hetty. She comes with all the same features as Henry, but the introduction of Eco technology helps you to save the planet and your wallet at the same time. A smaller size means she’s easier to store, but a 9-litre bag capacity, means there’s plenty of dust storage room. It has a useful hi/low feature which allows you to switch seamlessly between the more powerful 1,200w and a lower 600w mode. It’s a great way to manage your electricity use. For most jobs, 600w will be more than enough power to get the job done, but occasionally, for really stubborn tasks, you might want to switch up to the more powerful 1,200w. This allows you to do just that. In the light of recent European legislation, though, Numatic have released a less powerful 620w model, but they’ve put in a huge effort to tune this up so despite the power drop you still get excellent performance – capable of meeting any job. If you’re looking for a straightforward cylinder vacuum that won’t let you down, the Henry is a great choice for carpets and hard floors. While it can be unwieldy to use on stairs and doesn’t have many advanced features, it has excellent filtration, strong suction power and provides great value.

The female equivalent to Henry or also known as the female Henry Hoover, Hetty Hoover is another popular vacuum cleaner from the Henry family. A common question we see is what’s the difference between Hetty and Henry? The answer is not much at all. Apart from her appearance, Hetty is exactly the same vacuum so it’s not a case of Henry vs Hetty. The only real difference is that Hetty is pink compared to the traditional red. She also comes complete with eyelashes to add to her more feminine appearance. Hetty shares the exact same specifications as the Henry Hoover 160-11. litres dry dust bin capacity, which is a huge amount of space. Wet, the Charles holds 9 litres. An easy-to-operate switch goes between the two.In Britain the Hoover became synonymous with the word vacuum cleaner. Around about the same time as this was happening (the mid-80’s) was when Henry vacuum cleaners were first making a rise. We will forever have the Henry as a result. What’s the best Henry for dog and cat hair? Protect your appliance against the cost and hassle of unexpected failure and give yourself some added peace of mind with one of our great value extended warranties! Henry is also hugely practical. The 2.3m long flexible hose is perfect for reaching awkward places, and should see you vacuuming up and down your stairs with minimal effort. A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach.

The HZ series is built for industries where dust could be hazardous to health. These models have a HEPA filter, additional pre-filter and use Hepaflo bags, allowing cleaners to vacuum and empty the machine safely. Most of these machines have only one or two controls. An off/on switch and the cord winder. They may have a high/low setting (like the traditional Henry) and they may have a wet/dry setting (like the George). Finally, the Xtra can switch between hard floors and carpets as a special feature. Storage However, is Henry the right vacuum for you? Vacuum cleaner tech has progressed massively since Henry’s inception and the cordless vacuum cleaner has risen in popularity, with Dyson’s lightweight and powerful models – quite literally– leading the charge.

Cordless vacuums have become increasingly popular, so it’s no surprise Numatic have a cordless version of the Henry. It has many of the same features as the corded version, but comes with a 36V battery and is one of the few cordless vacs to have a bagged design.

There’s also a number of different Henry versions, including the popular Henry Xtra, Henry Allergy, Henry Pet, Henry Eco and Henry Micro. There’s even now a Henry Cordless option too. He offers two useful features. The first is a dual purpose hairo-brush which is fantastic for scrubbing off stubborn pet hairs and other stains, the second is a carbon filter designed to combat unpleasant smells. The MicroFresh filter activated charcoal filter will minimise the bad smells your pets can create.
