Retcon: All of the engines are shown having specific berths as shown in this episode, but in early seasons before, they constantly changed their berths. From the eight series onwards, the Steam Team were the core group of charcaters seen at Tidmouth sheds. Consisiting of Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James and Percy. Toby and Emily were also appart of the team, however Toby would stay at his shed at Arlesdale End while Emily would stay in Knapford Sheds.Percy and Toby's dynamic: https://thomas-and-friends-all-engines-go.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000156652 Continuity Nod: In the And Knowing Is Half the Battle segment, Thomas recalls the events of " Engine of the Future". Aesop Amnesia: Played for laughs, mere seconds after having learned a lesson on change, Gordon freaks out over a new engine sleeping in Henry's berth (Rebecca). In the fantasy sequence, the Thin Clergyman can be seen riding the Photographer's Draisine from the sixteenth series episode, Flash Bang Wallop! The CGI model was based upon photographic reference of the sheds as they appear from Calling All Engines!-onwards. According to Greg Tiernan, the CGI models are subjected to many rounds of review before they are submitted to HiT Entertainment for final input and approval.

Once, the turntable froze due to the icy weather and Gordon got trapped in the sheds until it could be fixed. [1] Later on, the Steam Team went on strike by objecting to leave the sheds until the Fat Controller was allowed to stay on Sodor, however this ended up being a misunderstanding as Sir Topham was never leaving in the first place. [2] The next morning, Edward meets Phillip, who says how fun it was that Edward slept at his shed, and then starts talking obnoxiously about it. Edward leaves as soon as the the signal goes green, making Philip a little sad. That night, Edward sleeps at the Steamworks. He manages to doze off, but suddenly woken up as Victor, Kevin, and the workmen are repairing James. Edward leaves the Steamworks. He tries sleeping on a ship, but is awoken by the ship's horn and sea water splashes on his boiler. He then tries sleeping at Ulfstead Mine, but then the men start blasting. He finally tries sleeping in the forest, but can't get to sleep because of owls hooting multiple times. The next morning, Edward is very tired. He falls asleep as he pulls into Knapford. He is about to collide into Percy, but Philip wakes him up with his horn. He thanked Philip and Philip says that it's sad that Edward does not like sleeping in his shed. Edward says he likes sleeping there, but needed sleep because of Philip talking. Philip apologises and asks Edward to sleep in his shed tonight. He promised not to talk. That night, Edward falls asleep. Philip is about to wake him, but remembers not to talk during that time. He is not even given a proper farewell. That hasn’t stopped some fans from doing their own interpretations on what may have influenced him to move to his new home in Vicarstown. Gordon the High-Speed Engine - High-Speed Gordon, Smokescreen, Fire Escape and Gordon Proves His Point Sir Topham Hatt I †| Sir Charles Topham Hatt II †| Sir Stephen Topham Hatt III | Albert Regaby †| Kevin Volley † Big "NO!": Gordon screams "NOOOOOOO!" at the end of the episode when Nia informs him of a new engine sleeping Henry's empty berth (who later turns out to be Rebecca). The ending of this episode takes place during the opening scenes of A Shed for Edward and the twenty-second series episode, An Engine of Many Colours. The premise of the two episodes is based on the repercussions from this episode.

In some episode in the ninth series: Edward, James, Henry, Gordon, Thomas, Percy and Emily. In the episodes Thomas and the Golden Eagle, Thomas' Day Off and Thomas' Milkshake Muddle, Thomas and Percy are swapped around but all other characters remain the same. The first time that a tanker has been seen with a face in an episode since the fourth series episode, Toad Stands By.

It wasn't until Calling All Engines!, where the old Tidmouth Sheds was demolishedand then rebuilt with an extra berth, that Emily then joined the others at Tidmouth sheds. Where Gordon lives at Knapford: https://thomas-and-friends-all-engines-go.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000156182 Though largely based on the television series, the My Thomas Story Library books often illustrate Tidmouth Sheds based on its original pre-1952 appearance in The Railway Series. Before being removed from the Steam Team in the twenty-second series, Toby was the only member not to sleep at Tidmouth Sheds.

Tidmouth Sheds are located north of Tidmouth Station, behind the River Tid and in front of a bridge. The sheds are presented as a German-style roundhouse with six (later seven) berths and a turntable outside at the front. To the east of the sheds are the engine works; to its west are the goods station and the line along the coast to Arlesburgh ( Toby's Branch Line on the 1991 map, the Little Western on the 2014 map). Tidmouth Sheds is a fictional engine shed on the Island of Sodor created by the Rev. W. Awdry. They are the main engine sheds on the North Western Railway. Fire-Forged Friends: Gordon was rude to Nia at first, but after some honest discussion, they become friends.

Audience Surrogate: In this episode, Gordon is representing the Periphery Demographic who dislike the changes being made to the show, namely Nia replacing Edward and (in the next episode) Rebecca replacing Henry in the main cast.
