Chatting with April O'Neil – An Interview With Renae Jacobs". Teenagemutantninjaturtles.com. 2013-04-09 . Retrieved 2015-06-18.

With Super Shredder dead, April and the others return to New York, preparing for whatever could fill the void left behind by Super Shredder, but knowing Splinter is still watching over them from the afterlife. Mae Whitman voices the teenage April O'Neil in the 2012 computer-animated series. Her shoulder-length bright red hair with flowy bangs is tied with a white ponytail holder which becomes undone, at times, if she is under great stress or rage. Unlike her previous counterparts, she is a sixteen-year-old teenager (as opposed to being a young adult in her late twenties) and possesses exceptionally strong psychic powers, which she eventually learns to develop more and increase drastically throughout the fourth season. This is due to her being a half human, half Kraang-mutant as her mother was abducted and experimented on by the Kraang before she was born, including making her immune to mutagen. Her inherent psionic abilities are first hinted at in Episode 7, "Monkey Brains", when she had detected that a mutant-monkey was, in fact, a human scientist; merely saying that she "sometimes get a feeling about things", implying that she possesses extrasensory abilities as well. It even enabled her to hear far off sounds that Splinter, with his superhuman hearing, could not. After only other known relative is her aunt, whom she used to live with, until Master Splinter asked her to stay and live in the sewer until Shredder and the Kraang are stopped and quit looking for her. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 series) [ edit ] April O'Neil, as depicted in the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 - 2009) for the first six seasons While the Turtles and the Fugitoid head to Dimension X to meet up with the Utroms, April and Casey have to stay behind in the Ulixes, much to their anger. April tries to read a magazine to distract herself from being unable to go see the Utroms with the Turtles and Fugitoid. However, now that the Turtles have the location of the other two pieces, April and Casey can now help find and destroy them and save the Earth from the Triceraton Empire.Telepathy: With her psionic abilities, April can mentally read minds, communicate with others across vast distances, project mind blasts, perceive visions of the future. Daniel Miller (2014-02-05). "Porn's XBiz Awards an uninhibited affair". Los Angeles Times . Retrieved 2014-09-12. Leonardo - Aside from Donatello, Leo appears to be the most protective of April in the group and is supportive of her efforts to discover information that will lead them to find her father. Leo, aside from Donnie and Splinter, has been the most to interact with April. She becomes the target for Timothy. Donnie talks about her while working on a cure for him and her father, and being lonely makes him go after her to be her friend. She tutors Casey Jones in trigonometry and when Timothy finds them, they fend for themselves. She is still angry with the Turtles and tries to avoid them contently, but still cares about them seeing as she distracts Casey so he wouldn't spot the Turtles.

April's phone is stolen by some Purple dragons as part of The Foot's scheme to locate Splinter. Her phone is later replaced with a " T-Phone". Other notable April figures include the 1992 version, dubbed simply "April" with purple accents on her jumpsuit; "April, the Ravishing Reporter", which was the first such figure to feature rooted hair; "April, the Ninja Newscaster", who came with one of each of the Turtles' signature weapons; and "Mutatin' April", part of the Mutations assortment in which April can transform into a humanoid cat (inspired by the original series' episode " The Cat Woman from Channel Six"). For the 2003 TV series, Playmates introduced two O'Neil figures; a standard sized April with bonus Mouser robots and a miniature April. Raphael - As of yet, Raph and April have not interacted much onscreen. He does, however, seem to show deference to her when she catches him and his brothers teasing Donatello for sustaining injuries from a lab monkey or when he laughed at her for being chased by Pete, a giant Pigeon. However, they do remain good friends, and Raph shown signs that he cares about her at least as much as Leonardo and Michelangelo do (as seen in Panic in the Sewers where he agreed with the others that she shouldn't go spying on the Foot, and in Karai's Vendetta when she spilled Kraang water on herself). He is also the one that goes to rescue her in The Kraang Conspiracy, though both he and April make satirical comments about it. Most notably are the handful of occasions when Raphael refers to April as "sister" when making a sarcastic comment, and one point in Race with the Demon! where April put her arm around his shoulders. Raph and April do seem to get along most of the time, probably because both have very feisty, active personalities. Whilst Donatello clearly has a crush on April, Raphael is more like a big brother to her. April reveals that she's set up an online message board "to collect unusual sightings around New York... People send in pics, videos...", among which she also gets stuff that might be able to help in her endeavor to find and save her father from the Kraang: She also played a very active role by infiltrating a Kraang hideout and learning their plans to put Mutagen in the city's water supply. She was also able to defeat one of their guards on her own, and escape to inform the Turtles of the enemy plans. These covers are very cheap and not very durable at all, though this will depend on the fabric. The longer you want them to last, the nicer fabric you'll have to use, but they are ugly and cheap so I went with felt and hot glue.Splinter: April seems to be on good terms with Splinter, despite knowing little about him. They share the student-teacher relationship like he has with the turtles. When he realized that she has empathy, Splinter decided to teach her to be a kunoichi. She seems to respect and care for him, especially when she was forced to fight him. Since training under him, April has learned much about Splinter's past (including the loss of his wife and daughter), showing that he now trusts her greatly, and he even gave her the weapon that he intended to give to his daughter, which April accepted honorably, showing that their bond as teacher and student has deepened greatly. He has also called her my child. This suggests that he loves April as if she were one of his own. a b Jennifer Swann (2013-12-11). "10 Innovative Porn Stars Who Could Be the Next Sasha Grey".
