About this deal

I bought two new Rxs as they were cheap enough, and all seemed ok-ish. the range was much improved, but the symptoms i get just before it loses range all together is a delay in response. both steering and throttle. this still did happen, closer than i would expect, but it didnt really cause me too much issues bashing. The AFHDS 2A (Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System Second Generation) developed and patented by Flysky noble is their posh option, someone on here has one and gave it a good review, can't remember who. https://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/flysky-fsnb4-2-4ghz-transmitter-receiver.html while maintaining lower power consumption and high reliable receiver sensitivity, FLYSKY's AFHDS technology

This has caused me enough trouble now, so i'm looking to move on to something else. i know plenty have had no issues with the flysky, but i'm not doing anything out of the ordinary here. Thread: Flysky GT5 users, what battery?

Bought a used 1/8th buggy, came with Flysky FS-GT3C transmitter, with the flysky reciever. It also came with the FS-GT3B transmitter and another receiver, which seems largely the same except for 8xAAs vs 1S lipo. All seemed well at first. So i have a Flysky FS-GT3C transmitter, and ive been having range issues for a while. i'll try and keep this consise:

FLYSKV is specially developed for all radio controlled models. Offering superior protection against interference Pay close attention to the following symbols and their meanings. Failure to follow these warnings could cause If you are using another transmitter or receiver, follow the steps below to bind the transmitter and receiver: Return transmitter settings to factory default. Note: This will delete all model data and settings.

If the control surfaces are not moved to their maximum positions the wheel and trigger may not work I really enjoy using this controller, for me I've been running it in my budget brushless 124018. The controller has a good weight to it and although it is clearly made of plastic it has a better presence and weight to it than the Flysky-FS-GT5 (which I really rate). I also prefer it to the Radiolink RC6GS V3 I recently reviewed and of course the DumboRC X6 doesn't really compete. I would prefer a sponge covered wheel but this will be easy to change - hopefully Flysky offers a budget option here but the plastic wheel is ok for now.

Futaba 4PM, Spektrum DX5 or Sanwa MT44 are the cheapest "proper" radios from the known brands. I have a 4PM and rate it, the MT44 was also nice when I tried one. Setting up the ESC - this is intriguing. Flysky has announced 2 brushed ESC/receiver combos, presumably for crawlers. Although you can't see until connected, I suspect you can either adjust ESC parameters from the remote and or received telemetry data. I might have to get on to find out!

Its not on the compatability chart, which is annoying, but it seems like it should work with the 3pv. To ensure the gyroscope works as expected install the receiver horizontally at less that 10 degrees So what is the go to radio system these days? some years ago i had the Spektrum DX2 and was pretty happy with it (it was all about spektrum in those days). The Spektrum systems on the ARRMA cars gets a right slating though, These seem to use different systems. The DX2 used "DSM" and the ARRMA versions use "FHSS" Are the better Spektrum systems still worthwhile?
