Indeed, I’m already thinking of mixers as this isn’t realistically a libation that most would consider sipping neat. Nevertheless, it’s not as unpleasant as some whisky enthusiasts say. In fact, I’d even say that it’s been treated unfairly by those who put it up against decade-old single malts.
Haig Club Deluxe features a fresh and clean style. It has been processed from a combination of grain whiskeys. Extracted from three cask types. The taste is versatile. The flavors felt are of smoothness and sophistication.
The bottles carry a luxuriously designer look. The liquids in them are even more luxuriously delicious. This Haig Club range is the introduction of a new area in the world of whiskey.
Haig Club’s range is breaking all rules attached to the stereotypes of drinking Scotch. These drinks are crafted in Cameronbridge. Cameronbridge is Scotland’s oldest single grain distillery. One can feel the flavors of eccentric modernity in Haig Club’s single grain scotch whiskeys. It is an exceptionally smooth, stylish, and sophisticated drink. This whiskey line carries an interesting combination. It is designed with a mix of divergent, style, and modernity. However, Haig Clun did not forget incorporating its 400 years old house of heritage in it. Although marketed as a sweet whisky, I actually found this expression to be quite salty and even sour in terms of its primary flavours. Admittedly, this actually wasn’t unpleasant and I imagine that it would mix well with something fruity.
The first thing that you’ll notice with Clubman is its almost straw-coloured hue, which I would liken more to a lager or pale ale beer. Swirling my Peugeot whisky glass, I noticed that the legs were quite thin but slower than expected when running down the sides. Haig Club whiskey’s boasts of some outstanding qualities. These are non-filtered whiskeys. The ABV percentage is approximately 40%. The secret behind their idiosyncratic flavors is their age statement. That is the old bourbon oak casks. Over their years of experience this time, they have broken all norms. The Haig Club procures a unique line of modern-day whiskey. They are typically single grain scotch whiskeys. Its overall texture is quite light but it does have an oily property. However, it’s still a very young blend. Its opening reveals the same Williams pear notes as experienced in the nose alongside some chewy brine and aromatic bay leaf.
