About this deal

You shouldn’t underestimate the virtues of a quiet fan, and this one is great for setting up beside your laptop to stay comfortable during work zoom calls, with a whisper-quiet set of blades in a smart-looking body that delivers a supremely quiet operation.” GQ Magazine We’ve tested the noise created by this fan, and it comes in at 20dB. This is extraordinarily quiet for a cooling fan – compare it, for example to a whisper. Within those parameters, it’s still a great desk fan. It’s noisy at its highest settings, putting out nearly 60dB at full tilt, but at lower levels it’s fine for daytime use. The Meaco and Dimplex fans will dish out more airflow, but the Q will easily cool an area of a room and you can happily leave it on low if you’re sitting nearby. What’s more, the removable grille makes it easy to clean the fan and keep it in top-notch condition. If all you care about is function, you can save some cash by buying something else – but if form and style matter more in your home, the Q is the designer fan to get. Our fans work brilliantly, and they look great in your home too. Our elegant, contemporary design and operation means that your fan will fit perfectly into your home alongside all your other design-led devices. We’ve even incorporated a magnetic holder in the centre of the fan to hold your remote control – the perfect solution. Small enough to sit on a bedside table, side table, or windowsill, the MeacoFan 360 is beautifully designed, unobtrusive, and easy to use. Simple touch switches control the power levels and you can manually adjust the vertical angle, helping you to find the perfect cooling option. Powered by either mains or USB connection, you can take the fan anywhere inside or outside.

We’ve reduced the plastic used in the MeacoFan 360 by designing all the controls within the body of the fan. This means there’s no need for a remote control. We’ve also used DC technology which means our fans perform brilliantly with lower energy requirements and running costs, helping you to run a more environmentally-friendly cooling systems in your home. All our products are designed to offer great functionality so that you get the performance and value for money you’re looking for. The good news with the huge number of fan speed modes is that you can balance airflow and speed nicely, easily finding the best setting that makes it easy for you to sleep. Should you buy the MeacoFan 360? There's no self-assembly required with this fan, which means it's ready to use straight from the box – a surprising rarity amongst the fans we've tested, and a great plus point compared to faffing around with assembly in the middle of a heatwave – and its controls are super user-friendly, well-designed, and very easy to operate. It’s unlikely you’ll use it much at full power, but even at its lowest settings – where many fans are so weak as to be pointless – the Meaco still hits air speeds of just under 2m/sec, which makes for a nice breeze. Drop it into Natural mode and the feel of the varying speeds is surprisingly effective, giving you a nice, relaxing airflow with the occasional light gust of wind. Combine this with oscillation (60° vertical and 80° horizontal) and you can have that tropical holiday feeling in the comfort of your own bedroom.Despite all this power the fan is near silent yet manages to offer near-360-degrees of air circulation, even when placed out of the way against a wall. By using both the vertical and horizontal oscillation you find that air is pushed off all the walls and even the ceiling so the entire room feels refreshed … somehow this beautiful beast also manages to remain cheap to run making it one of the best room-cooling options out there right now, especially at that affordable-for-what-you-get price." Ideal Home Obviously, the main reason for buying a fan is because you want it to keep you cool. So next up was measuring the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator's cooling powers, and from the minute I turned this fan on – even on its lowest setting of 1 – its cooling effect is instantly noticeable. If you need more power, you’ve still got it at your disposal. At the top speed we measured airflow at 2.7m/sec, with a noise level of just 42dB. You’ve got a choice of touch-sensitive controls on the fan itself and a slightly cheap-feeling remote, while the efficient DC motor keeps power consumption to between 2W and 8.1W. While not as powerful as the Dimplex 360 or MeacoFan 360, this is the fan to go for if you prize your peace and quiet above all else. The main controls are on the base, surrounding a digital temperature display with handy icons to show the current status of the other settings. Next, I measured how loud the fan was. On the slowest speed setting, I measured the fan at a very low 45.5dB at 15cm and 38.7dB at 1.5m. On maximum speed, I measured the fan at 61.6dB at 15cm and 50.1dB at 1.5m.

So far I was incredibly impressed by the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator, but there's still more to explore in its functionality. You can forget any worries about power consumption, too. Even at full power, our meter read just 18.3W, where less powerful fans read north of 30W. At low speed, we measured consumption at a mere 3.3W. This thing really isn’t going to break the bank, especially in the average British summer. All MeacoFan products come with a two-year warranty, as well as the option of extending warranty to five years. We use DC technology to power our fans because we believe it gives you the best performance and helps your fan to last longer. We’ve used this technology across a number of our products because it delivers:
