About this deal

Thanks to its rotating ball, your child will be occupied and bath time will be fun with the Safety 1st Swivel Bath Seat in Primary Colours. Suitable for children from approximately 6 to 12 months (between 7 and 10 kg), this bath seat is ideal for keeping parents hands free to wash their child and even bathing more than one child of the same age at a time. Water also sits in the main part of the seat between the suctioned bottom plate and the spinning seat. The spinning mechanism is clever however unless you’ve got a wide bath there isn’t much room for babies legs when spinning, but it does make it easier to wash hair etc.

The safety 1st swivel bath seat is made entirely of solid plastic, featuring a ball on the front to entertain baby, and a swivel motion to spin baby round in the bath. The ball on the front helps keep baby distracted however it contains a hole meaning water can get in and sit, which wasn’t ideal! Babies have delicate skin. The batch water should be warm, not hot. Lotions, cream and washes are not recommended for at least the first 4 weeks. This particular seat is a 'Safety 1st swivel bath seat' but there are other similar ones on the market. But it could have been so much worse. It takes as little as 10 seconds for a baby to drown. Please please please please do not buy these seats. Bath supports are not safety products. They are not intended to keep a baby safe in the bath, but are rather an aid to make bath time easier. Parents should remain mindful of this and always be available to support their child as required.

While most baby baths are built with safety in mind, keep an eye out for a built-in thermometer to ensure the water is the right temperature, non-slip elements to prevent your little one from capsizing in the tub, and smooth edges that won't hurt tiny hands (and yours too!). Baby bath seat safety tips The only negative I would say is that because my daughter is a bit chunky I sometimes found it difficult to get my hands in to lift her out but I would think I would have that problem with most bath seats so it certainly wouldn't put me off. I'd recommend this to anyone. Read more

Reviews

When we say baby in it for the first time we noticed he was pretty wobbly and insecure because of how wide the seat is, this wasn’t a huge issue at the time, however it did cause us a couple of problems later on.
