About this deal

The Lore of Beasts, also known as Amber magic is associated with Ghur, the brown wind of magic, which is the coalescence of bestial spirit, the predator and the prey. It flows around the wild, untamed places, where the touch of civilisation has not yet been felt. It is a savage wind, as unreasoning as it is devoid of malice. Amber wizards are often called 'shamans' and are rarely found in cities or other outposts of civilisation. [4a] The Lore of Death, also known as Amethyst magic is associated with Shyish, the purple wind of magic. The power of Shyish comes from the ending of things, the slow decline of the soul, and the certainty and terrible awe of death that all sentient creatures must face at some point. Shyish tells us that even though physical form must inevitably come to an end, creation is permanent, and there exist forces larger than our mortal selves that deserve respect and even reverence. Shyish is drawn to places where death must be faced, or where things are brought to an end. [4a]

Created long before Teclis came to the Empire, it was later officially rejected by the Imperial Colleges. Some still contend that that Teclis's teachins were misguided or even an attempt to restrict the humans knowledge and practice of sorcery. [4a] Fire Unique among the Endless Spells, it had some niche value in 2.0 because it moves in a straight line, and only in the direction you set up. It dealt d6 mortal wounds over anything it crossed over. It’s been nerfed a fair bit here, only d3 damage on a 2+. I’m sure the concern was surrounding the double move like most endless spells, but since it can only move in one direction its much easier for an opponent to jump out of the way on the second turn and the 2+ while almost a sure thing, isn’t guaranteed anymore. It also took a 15 point hike. Oof. As our largest battletome, Stormcast Eternals have had numerous reductions – Krondys and Karazai lose 50 points each, while Annihilators , Praetors , Vigilors , and Vanquishers all see drops. Universal Options The ‘functional’ metals – so things on the shield, spear, etc. – are based in Balthasar Gold, highlighted with Sycorax Bronze and then washed all over with Agrax Earthshade gloss.Athanasia: In the Age of Myth, mortals in this land would only live a set span of time before going to their appointed death - they would then be reborn with the rising sun. [25] Enough on the planning process then and on to the results, here’s where my schemes ended up at after having gone through a tempering process in pursuit of finishing the box, this might not be quite the same sort of balance of complexity and speed you settle upon but that’s A-Okay! Marines In the new system, players still alternate moving models but first they alternate moving “Controlled” models, and naturally they only move the ones they control. Then players move Wild spells similar to the old system, starting with whoever’s turn it is. This mechanic is probably a bit too generous. With the smaller board size, 30″ is a pretty hefty chunk of the board and you’re not liable to lose control very easily unless your opponent snipes your wizard or you make a conscious decision to cast a different spell. Regardless, it’s going to open up a lot of options that weren’t there before.

Once a spell has broken the caster's control over it, it will likely chase a fleeing enemy or dominate the area so that no mortals can survive in it. They will relentlessly continue to fulfil the purpose they were made for without ever needing any form of sustenance or suffering any exhaustion. Many battles turned into desperate scarmbles to survive after a Endless Spell went rouge. [1a] [1c] Now, the sped up form gives +1 to charge for everything within 18″ of the spell which makes it more likely it will only benefit you (with proper positioning). Whether you’d prefer the 2″ to movement or 1 to charge is going to be open to debate but failing a charge can be very dangerous, leaving your units out in the open so +1 to charge could save our life. The “Caster mode” got better, giving a bonus casting to All Wizards in 6″. About the only potential downside is that an enemy wizard could benefit but if they get within 6″ of it something went wrong. Aspect of the Dreadknight - An invisible aura of horror surrounds the wizard's allies. Only the bravest foes will now stand before them. [3a] Add the following to the Notes section of the Arachnarok Spider with Spiderfang Warparty Pitched Battle profile:Flesh-Eater Courts ( Madness) • Legions of Nagash ( Sorrows • Soulblight Gravelords ( Deathmages • Vampires)) • Nighthaunt ( Underworlds) • Ossiarch Bonereapers ( Mortisans) Different solutions were attempted throughout 2nd edition to try and remedy this situation. Invocations were “endless prayers” which functioned very similarly but were limited only to specific factions. Seraphon gained “Bound” versions of Endless Spells which cost 10 points more but could not be controlled by an enemy player. Ossiarch Bonereapers had a mechanic where each endless spell gave a caster -1 to future casting rolls while it remained on the field (though these only ever applied to their faction specific ones). The spear shaft is just Aggarose Dunes Contrast. Contrast paints don’t do so well on flat surfaces, but I don’t mind a little pooling or brush marks on something that’s supposed to have texture, like wood or leather.
