The game is titled "Stranger Things: The Upside Down" and the 2023 release has been designed by none other than Rob Daviau - the name behind the infamous Pandemic Legacy games. The news broke during The Dice Tower's 2022 Summer Spectaular show. Boss Monster is a dungeon building card game for 2-4 players, designed by the O’Neals. Bursting with pop culture references, as a game heavily inspired by retro video games and classic nerd culture. Expect references to the Lord of the Rings, Donkey Kong, Robocop, Castlevania, and, of course, Super Mario Bros. But wait, there is an extra twist with the flip of the board. This takes players to the Upside Down! Keeping in touch with the Stranger Things theme, dimensional portals cover the board. These portals pose a threat, as players risk losing points if they enter the Upside Down.

The show's 4th season has recently come to a close on the streaming service with many fans desperately wanting more. With relatable, loveable characters, catchy phrases and storylines enriched with huge quantities of Dungeons & Dragons lore, it's rather hard resist. Eldritch Horror This version of Monopoly is based on the hit 80's nostalgia Netflix show Stranger Things, go down into Hawkins to uncover what is happening in the Upside Down! Will’s room: Shark (Jaws) poster, hole in the wall (more for the exterior), lava lamp, Johnathon’s boombox He continues to explain a few small details of the upcoming title by letting us know that "It is a co-operative game and you're trying to save Hawkins from the Upside Down, thats all we can really say".
Cross between portals to different and dangerous dimensions. In Eldritch Horror you will find yourself hopping between perilous portals, not too dissimilar to the Upside Down! Eldritch Horror is an action-based mystery solving game, created by Corey Konieczka and Nikki Valens. Much like Stranger Things, you and your friends are tasked with bringing to light the dark conspiracies of the universe. Whist you can’t say the model is a perfect recreation of the house, it’s pretty close, the points of inaccuracy mostly occur with the arrangement of the interior – this was done to capture not important rooms of the house, which include: Will’s room, and the main living room. All the key details in Will’s room have been captured effectively, despite the confined space.
There is a also a ton of cool building techniques and references. The upside down rendition also seems passably accurate, however, in the show there is more overgrowth. The layout of the living room, while not being accurate to the show, allows for the most space to recreate the room as best as possible. The attention to detail is on point, featuring core components of the room, such as the phone, sofa and armchair.
