About this deal

The TCL 6-Series is one of our favorite mid-range TV models – and has got a QLED upgrade too (Image credit: TCL) TCL features and formats The TCL 50C635K comes with 4K Ultra HD resolution, which offers four times the resolution of a standard Full HD TV. The TV’s 4K resolution provides excellent picture quality, making it an ideal option for anyone who enjoys watching high-quality content such as movies and TV shows. The 4K resolution also ensures that the TV is future-proof, as more content is being produced in 4K resolution. 8K Resolution There have been some discrepancies with TCL’s more formal naming of its products, with several variations on the usual system seen around the regions as the company continues to expand into European and American markets. For the most part, UK and European users should see a largely familiar set up, with the likes of the 75-inch P638 getting the full title of 75P638K here in the UK.

Note, of course, that these aren't HDMI 2.1 ports that can carry 4K/120Hz or 8K signals – but 4K/60 or 1440p/120 is still very much possible here. To test the TCL RC630K we used Portrait Displays Calman colour calibration software. TCL RC630K review: Gaming The TV’s speakers are less powerful than some other high-end models and may require additional speakers or a soundbar for optimal sound quality. You won’t find a traditional Filmmaker mode, as TCL has its own Film mode (or Movie mode, depending on your region!) with the same intention of delivering the picture as originally intended, along with a Sport mode. Everything from the C735K and above also comes with Calman Ready 3D LUT colour calibration, along with Adaptive Picture and an ambient sensor. On the audio front, all but the cheapest LCDs come with Dolby Atmos as standard, with both the QLED and Mini LED models using an Onkyo sound system – with the C835 and C935 adding an extra channel or two, along with Adaptive Sound tech (the latter also found on the C735).

The C845 also utilises quantum dot technology to enhance colour richness, contrast and realism, while there is also support for various HDR formats – including Dolby Vision IQ – to make sure that picture is as crisp as possible no matter what you’re watching.

The TCL 55C635K has a wide viewing angle, which allows viewers to enjoy the picture from almost any position in the room. This is especially important for larger rooms or spaces where multiple people will watch the TV. The BenQ EL2870U 28″ 4K UHD Monitor is compatible with VESA wall mounts, allowing users to mount the monitor to a wall or other surface. This is an excellent option for those who want to save desk space or create a more ergonomic viewing experience. The sound on the TCL 6-Series is perfectly acceptable. You won't hear the fine details in classical music or the spacious soundstage of a 5.1 surround system, but you won't have any complaints about the volume level either. With good care, a TCL TV can last up to many years, so you needn’t worry about getting another TV anytime soon! TCL Roku TVTCL has some more experimental TV designs now and then, largely closer to its home market in China. Overall, your choice of a TCL TV may come down to where you live. In the US there are plenty of TVs we’ve reviewed well, and TCL has built up an understanding of the market and what US viewers want from their televisions. QLED TVs are worth buying if you stream movies, games, or shows regularly. If you are looking for a TV with an enhanced brightness display, the layer of quantum dots helps to achieve additional vibrancy compared to a traditional LCD image. Opt for models Q70T and up for the best value for your money. 3. Is QLED better than 4K?

Secure Trust Bank PLC (register number 204550) is authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA and the PRA. The TCL TVs listed above all use either the Google TV or Android TV operating systems, but TCL also has options that run Roku TV OS, which is one of the best operating systems around when it comes to choice streaming service support and app provision. The TCL 50C635K is compatible with a wide range of devices. The TV supports HDMI ARC, which allows you to connect your soundbar or home theater system to the TV. The TV also supports HDMI CEC, which allows you to control the TV with your remote control. The TV is also compatible with Apple devices and supports Apple AirPlay 2, which allows you to stream content from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the TV. App Store Acting as something of a bridge between the higher-end features of the Mini LED models and the rather more affordable QLED TVs it leads the way in, the C735 has the potential to be a great all-round solution with sizes ranging from 43 to 98-inch displays – at least in Europe, with the UK set to see the 55 to 75-inch models arrive in September, with the larger 85 and 98-inch versions to follow later.
