I found the Flymo Easistore 340R Li very easy to use. In fact, there was not a single aspect of either set up or use that I would class as being difficult or even particularly challenging. The EasiStore range does not have a mulching blade, and neither does it have a mulching plug. Mulching is good if you worry about binning the grass clippings, or local town management has made it costly to do so. As I mentioned earlier, this makes it a much more stable piece of equipment, but that’s not the main function of this part. The rear roller allows you to create a striped lawn so if you want a more traditional looking garden, you can do this with ease. The rear roller also makes the mower more stable particularly when cutting close or over the edge of flower beds. Anyone who has a smaller lawned area and needs something convenient that will simply get the job done would benefit from buying this model. Admittedly, this mower does have a few minor weaknesses. First, it’s not as easy as it could be to change the cutting height; you need to put the mower on its side then move the spring-loaded bar on the front wheels. Second, there are only three cutting heights, and the minimum 3cm might not be enough for those who really love a hard-cropped patch of grass. Finally, the battery life isn’t great; you’re looking at around 20 minutes from a charge, then a wait of around two hours for a recharge. However, it’s compatible with other batteries from the Worx Powershare range, so you might be able to share spare batteries across a range of home and garden tools. If you are looking for a smaller 30cm model, then having a wide range of cutting heights may not be a requirement. However, once things got sorted out and the mower finally got to the lawn, the performance certainly didn’t disappoint. Flymo is perhaps one of the most well-recognised names in the lawn mower industry, with its bright orange accents, it is known all over the world. Their EasiStore 340R is a cordless mower that gives its rivals a real run for their money and with a decent 34cm cutting width is ideal for the domestic gardener. However, if you need something even smaller, the EasiStore does have a younger brother with a 30cm cutting width – no one can say that this brand doesn’t offer diversity and a mower for every need. Being able to adjust the height of your mower is essential in keeping your lawn healthy. During the summer months, it pays to cut the lawn a little shorter whereas the colder weather will require a slightly longer cut.

We tested this model in a variety of different lawn settings and were very pleased with the results. The grass was cut well and the rear roller is great for lawn stripes if you’re trying to impress the neighbours. We found that the 30-minute run time was quite adequate for our medium-size garden and when you use a battery-powered mower, you do realise how much easier it is than worrying where the cable is. The collection of the cut grass was good, certainly compared to a hover mower (which tends to blow clippings everywhere!). I couldn’t find any accessories that are on sale to go with the Flymo Easistore 340R Li. The main thing that a potential user might consider to go with this model is an extra set of batteries, if they have a larger lawn. There is a safety button on the handlebar, which the operator needs to depress to release the throttle grips. With the Flymo EasiStore range, it is suitable for homeowners with the roller being a higher priority over the mulching function — and for this size of the mower, it is the choice you will have to make.
