Description

Kanojo mo Kanojo is a manga that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on its readers. Its unique blend of humor, romance, and absurdity makes it a refreshing and enjoyable read. Whether you're a seasoned manga enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, Kanojo mo Kanojo is sure to bring a smile to your face and leave you wanting more. The protagonist doesn't have to earn anything and that makes him incredibly bland, he is just an object of desire in this plot. His ''personality'' basically boils down to: ''He's so sweet and innocent'' and that's all there is to him... However, if you had asked me about my outlook on KmK two months ago, I probably would have given a much different answer, and that's mostly because of just one guy: Naoya, the protagonist. However, season 2 will see the TV series shift animation studios from Tezuka Productions to SynergySP, which is best known for producing Major, Initial D, Battle Game in 5 Seconds, and Too Cute Crisis. The animation isn't bad, but mostly fails to do more than ''Chibi'' form faces, rather than using the strength of animation as a tool to enhance and exaggerate the comedy.

Romantic Comedies were made with the specific two genre's in mind so when reading a "Romantic Comedy" people would expect to read a lighthearted comedy with a mix of romance or the other way around. Now to the explanation of the scores. Some of the people that have watched these 4 episodes find it “so bad, that it is actually good”, it’s not. It is so bad that it is actually bad. I find it boring, because of the poorly made characters and a plot, that only relies on characters. So what happens when an anime relies on only ONE thing that is pretty bad, well, it fails to be an interesting series for some viewers. But I can understand people that actually like this thing. If you like cute anime girls and cringy anime moments, this sh*t is for you.

Then there's the fact that the characters are actually likeable and entertaining, which is one of the biggest differences between KmK and most other harem romcoms. Interestingly, the special edition of volume 16 will also feature all of the illustrations contributed to the series by other manga artists over the years. These include work from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama), Shun Saeki (Food Wars), Negi Haruba (The Quintessential Quintuplets), Reiji Miyajima (Rent-A-Girlfriend), and Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail).

Most of my thoughts are unchanged. I am mostly just following up with the review to assure people that this is well worth it all the way to the end. Kanojo mo Kanojo: It would be a great h-anime plot. Is it a good rom-com? – no . Do I watch rom-coms? -no, but still that is some next level tragic. Is there something that I like in the anime? – no, except the opening. Would I recommend it to anyone? – no. Why? … :

Rentarō meets and falls in love with his fourth soulmate, the school's top performer Nano Eiai who is rumored to be a robot due to her intelligent and emotionless personality. She repeatedly rebuffs his attempts to open up to her due to considering him insignificant, but she becomes overwhelmed by thoughts about him that night. Rentarō requests a date with her to prove himself the following day, and the two visit an amusement park. Nano is befuddled by the attractions, and at the end of the day believes she gained nothing from the outing. But Rentarō proves she did gain something by almost burning the photos he took during the date, leading Nano to break down in tears before kissing him. Mateo, Alex (October 4, 2023).
