About this deal

I'm looking for suggestions as to what I might do over the course of a week, probably best in either early Sept. (around the 7th) or at the end of my trip, which would be essentially the last week of Sept. I'd prefer not to do multiple trips ex-GVA, scattered throughout Sept., since I'll be spending most of my time on this trip 2.5 hours drive away in France.

They tried to downgrade us, we eventually agreed to rerouting, with a partial downgrade. We got to our destination 2.5hrs late. The following paragraphs of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 which has been adopted into UK law via the Brexit withdrawal agreement are relevant. It states that They haven’t always won on validity in fact we have at least one report on here where BA comrehensively lost. Should be the case as 261 is a statute so should override any of BA’s ts and cs, and agents poorly instructed by BA so as to deny passengers these statutory rights etc. My question is whether we can claim any compensation for what happened? And if so, how much? (Bearing in mind BA doesn’t fly JoBurg to Cape Town, so there isn’t a direct equivalent fare).surrender their reservations in exchange for benefits under conditions to be agreed between the passenger concerned and the operating air carrier. Volunteers shall be assisted in accordance with Article 8, such assistance being additional to the benefits mentioned in this paragraph. Remember, the airline is not allowed to question you about the nature of your disability and I’m not even sure you’re even required to prove it to them. But nor are you required to declare any disability to them. I think someone who booked on say the Faro flight that was cancelled at T-355 using Avios and is a teacher so can only go in the school hols and so wants to be rebooked for a weekend in August would stand a good chance in front of a judge, seems pretty reasonable

Speaking about the testing, Conrad Banks, Chief Engineer at Rolls-Royce Defence Future Programmes, said the aerodynamic testing has “ been invaluable in several ways. Not only has it validated complex digital techniques and models, but it has fostered highly collaborative working practices between the BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce teams.” They do however accept that (i) the only available seats on the flight I’d booked were in economy (so a 2 class downgrade) and (ii) I had phoned them several days prior to departure to confirm that we had business class seats, and they had confirmed this was the case. However as the statute does not state a limit date however is clearly written generally in favour of the passenger’s right to choose, so far as the UK is concerned that does open a gap that leaves open for a general UK legal principle of reasonableness to be questioned – ie justified for the passenger’s own circumstances, why a longer date would be reasonable.between the European territory of the Member States and the French overseas departments, and for all other flights You can only change the destination to travel in the next 14 days and if your return flight isn’t cancelled then they won’t change the origin of that one. So might not be so useful for you I think therefore that you are entitled to compensation per Article 7 based on being denied boarding at LHR for the CPT flight. I think it should be 50% of EUR600 per passenger per the following: I offered to swap so she could have the direct flight (I was willing to go via Tokyo!) but computer said no as the agent couldn’t transfer my flight to her – it would have been released into the wild to get taken by whoever was on the waitlist. Cost is of some but not incredible concern. I have Avios so I could take a one-way or even RT award positioning flight(s) if need be. Since GVA has a lot of EZ Jet and other low-cost flights, I'm assuming that GVA is not a prohibitively expensive place to be originating such an itinerary, however.

In the Americas: USA, Canada, Argentina, Barbados, Bermuda, Bahamas, Chile, Grenada, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis**, Turks and Caicos, Trinidad and Tobago. When an operating air carrier reasonably expects to deny boarding on a flight, it shall first call for volunteers toI think you are entitled to compensation for being denied boarding for the LHR to CPT flight as follows: Pioneering aerodynamic engine testing is powering the development of the UK’s next-generation supersonic stealth combat aircraft, Tempest. As to compensation I’m not sure this applies because (a) the cancellation was caused by DUS not approving the flight plan due to curfew and (b) since you chose not to fly you weren’t actually delayed. Oh, and should BA make any offer then if they want confidentiality then the custom is that the offer is substantially increased for that. I can’t tell you by hoe much but I suspect the normal increase would be at least 1/3rd more than you’d deem fair without confidentiality promise being attached.

I still think however that BA in downgrading is effectively denying boarding for the seat in the cabin you booked. They realise that they can avoid compensation by involuntarily downgrading instead – they could upgrade but that hardly ever happens especially if you don’t have status.

The aerodynamic engine testing is part of the broader Flying Technology Demonstrator programme that was first announced by the UK Government in July 2022. This programme aims to deliver the Tempest, a supersonic stealth combat aircraft set to take flight within the next four years. The development involves experts from BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Leonardo UK, MBDA, and the Ministry of Defence (MOD), in collaboration with various British small and medium-sized enterprises. I’m getting a little bit lost trying to figure out whether I’m entitled to any compensation from BA and hope you guys can help! Bear with me on the length! Passengers denied boarding against their will should be able either to cancel their flights, with reimbursement of I've set a pretty aggressive beginning to my next TP accrual period beginning in August 2023, with some domestic USA travel on AS, plus a RT SEA-LHR-GVA in First long haul, plus CE on the LHR-GVA-LHR segments beginning in early Sept. and ending the beginning of Oct. Counting this already-reserved travel, I should have around 740TPs by early October 2023.
