He eventually gets around to being protective of her and cares for her, but I wish I had stronger feelings for him. I feel like because of the 3rd person narration, I had a hard time connecting with the characters and watching their relationship develop. The plot was also very slow to develop and I had to force myself to keep reading at parts BUT that’s because I’m not the biggest fan of a lot of traveling/hiding in books. If you like that you’re going to enjoy those parts a lot. the romance: billed as enemies-to-lovers, but there wasn't much time spent as actual enemies. I found their relationship a bit rushed, and didn't feel it was that natural.
