We use what we learn in our delivery operations to raise awareness of the importance of social mobility among UK businesses and encourage them to take action to improve it. Our mission is to transform the futures of disadvantaged young people in the UK, by providing training to raise their aspirations and develop their skills, behaviours and attitudes to choose and succeed in a career. You've gone out of your way, sometimes at great personal sacrifice to make sure your child's K-12 education is Christ-focused. But then he or she decides their college of choice is the furthest thing away from a Christ-centered environment.

Making The Leap is pleased to announce that Dom Scott, Managing Director of Lifetime Connect and Laurence Meehan, Corporate Relations Director at Diageo have both been appointed as Making The Leap Trustees and join the charity this October. We offer our 16-25 year olds ongoing coaching for as long as they need, as well as holistic support such as counselling, to ensure that they are fully equipped for their next step. You no doubt heard about the high school football coach fired for praying on the field. His historic victory before the Supreme Court last year wasn't widely noticed, but it was a huge win for religious liberty. Coach Joe Kennedy joins us to discuss his story and his new book "Average Joe." The 2023 Awards launched with the sixth annual Social Mobility Business Seminar in March. The nominations for 2023 submissions then opened in April, and will close at the end of June. Once the entries are in, they will be judged by a prestigious panel made up of leading figures from business, politics, charity and the public sector, and are chaired by Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, Chair of Restoration Partners. The winners will be announced at the annual Awards gala, which will be held on 12th October, 2023. Making The Leap, along with our partners, launched the first national awards event dedicated to social mobility in 2017. Now in their seventh year, the UK Social Mobility Awards are about making the advancement of social mobility a key part of how organisations are run in this country. At our annual awards ceremony in October, we recognised and celebrated the efforts of the people and organisations that are leading the way in this endeavour.

Secondary school students – It delivers a range of classroom based programmes and one day activities which run throughout the academic year designed to raise students aspirations and develop their character. Every year, we provide high quality training to thousands of 11-25 year olds from low income families in schools and communities in London. We have been doing this for 24 years. A unique episode of Making the Leap featuring two fearless men in their respective fields who've stood tall at great personal cost to their careers and families because they stayed true to their Christian faith. Laurence Meehan is the Corporate Relations Director for Diageo’s Great Britain business, where he has worked since 2017. Previously he held campaigning, public affairs and media roles at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, the Local Government Association, and the Royal College of Nursing. He has also worked in a number of roles across Westminster covering a range of issues including race relations, arms control, homelessness, and gun crime. Then, actor Kevin Sorbo shares a bit of his behind-the-scenes perspective as a practicing Christian and homeschool parent in one of the most secular places on Earth - Hollywood. Our vision: every young person in our country will have the chance to succeed; and every company, organisation and institution will have a part to play in making it happen.
