I'm really into successful businessmen in mangas, not really because I like their condescending attitude, but because when a guy puts you before his business, that's some sweet love. I also like how they could have anyone, but they chose someone average and not glamorous. On closer perusal of the publishers this is a VIZ Europe division that has so far released Anime in German, and they are branching out into manga this year - with Midnight Secretary as one of the launch series. Because of this "pride" as a secretary she's at odds with Touma--who has a chip on his shoulder against humans (including his own family), a chip on his shoulder about women (which granted, we come to find out is not entirely unreasonable) and is perfectly fine with manipulating Kaya's sense of duty to get her to stay by his side.

Effectivement, l’histoire est banale et extrêmement prévisible : la secrétaire et son patron qui tombent amoureux avec une touche de fantastique qui fait du patron en question un vampire. Je pense que c’est pas le genre de série qui révolutionne quoi que ce soit ou qui offre des twists surprenants. C’est plutôt le genre on plonge et on a le coup de cœur soit on l’a pas. Perso, je l’ai eu. Review- Lots of plot things happen in this volume with Kaya realizing that working for Kyohei is more complicated than she had thought. Add in in fact that Kyohei only is happy when he is getting her blood and you have romantic complications all over the place. They really start their relationship in this volume and I can see where there are going to be problems. Kyohei has never been around other vampires because his mother left the vampire community to be with his father, so he has no idea about the other vampires in the world and I am sure that is going to be the main problem of the series but I could be wrong. I look forward to seeing where we go next with these characters.
