Confirmed by the author of the book in a twit after whats-on-netflix erroneously identified the new show as being based on his book. A Catholic priest with a drink problem, exiled from his parish after being accused of molesting a child. Violet is a dreamy girl and is always away in her own world, filled with fairies designed by her most favorite author - Casper Dream. She lives with her mother, father and her brother Will. Last Christmas, Violet found out that Will her brotherwas adopted when Will was rude to their gran and Gran said something about bad blood. Violet is extremely depressed to see how her mother does everything her father tells her to do and not care that that her husband has no respect for her whatsoever because it reminds of herself and how she always does what Will tells her to do. Midnight Mass' is one of those books that should come with multiple trigger warnings for torture, gang rape, sexual slavery, the murder of children, desecration, executed bodies hung from telegraph poles, and cannibalism. I think Will was probably devastated when she died but we had started to keep to our own bedrooms and I had no way of telling. Mum and Dad had told us that we had to keep apart.

As I am sure you are aware, Wilson is a children’s writer who doesn’t shy away from telling stories about the suffering of children. These books are usually character-led stories that lend themselves to the plot. Katy, Hetty Feather and Lily Aloneare just a few of many examples.However, Midnight is different for this reason. I know it sounds like a very bad and probably socially unacceptable joke, but this was my first thought when I started reading this book by F. Paul Wilson. But it actually does this very dark and serious vampire apocalypse fiction a disservice. Mabs like rats and snakes and jungles and other cool "boy" things. Why is this not also expanded upon?

I decided to read this book because of it's title, Midnight,(It all seemed rather exciting and mysterious), the author, Jacqueline Wilson and its fantastic blurb. Mum’s taken some of her fish pie thing out the freezer. And there’s veg and stuff. I’ll go and fix it, shall I?’ But the main bully actually doesn't turn out to be anything like that. Frankie and Sally find things in common, become close, and Frankie realises her feelings for the other girl are anything bit platonic.

Sobre los personajes, odio el comportamiento bipolar y sádico que tiene Will, y me da igual las escusas que el libro le quiera dar para justificar ese comportamiento de mierda que tiene. También es verdad que sus momentos "tiernos" me gustan, pero el no saber por donde me iba a salir el puto mocoso me ha puesto de los nervios solo de pensar que mierdas estaría planeando. F. Paul Wilson doesn't stop at one set of monsters. He also gives us the Cowboys / Vichy / Serfs.
