For the Thousand Sons most of our units can either Teleport or be put into the Webway, but there are a few units where PL changes are worth noting and the changes to Daemons may also be important. Most of the Grey Knights’ non-vehicles have the Teleport Strike ability, preventing them from using Strategic Reserves and others can be put into a teleportarium for 1 CP with the Teleportarium Stratagem, so this PL update isn’t the biggest deal for them. Purifier Squads don’t have this ability however, and went down by 2 PL (from 9), while Purgation Squads also held firm. The Nemesis Dreadknight also came down to 9 PL from 11, making it cheaper to put into Strategic Reserves. Imperial Knights Just walk the robots up the field and plant when you finally have chance. No one is going to want to mess with Cawl and his Large Robot Sons. Meanwhile the blobs of Raiders, Ironstriders and Arc Breachers fill up the table shooting everything that is in LOS. Coteaz helps keep the Breachers in play and helps out with counter charges while the Drill and Ster-ganil (Kyg-ern?) drop in and are a huge pain in the ass. Yes it’s a second Mars list, no I don’t care.

TROOPS: 10x Skitarii Vanguard (Radium Carbines, w/ your choice either Omnispex or Data-Tether) 85pts

Khorne Berzerkers are unchanged at the 5-model level but are now 10 PL for the 10-man squad option, making putting them in Strategic Reserves a rough proposition. Better to put them in a Rhino or Terrax Termite Pattern Drill. This was probably always the case, but now it’s more definitive. Kharn dropped by 3 PL though so if you don’t own transports it’s easier to put him and a squad into Strategic Reserves. Praetorians: These are the elite of the Skitarii. They are super-enhanced (bionically/cybernetically/chemically/genetically etc) humans who are augmented with a huge array of cybernetics and heavy weapons. They are, essentially, a sort of counterpart to Obliterators. However, many old sources also suggest that Praetorians are instead an elite Skitarii type following the fashion of Imperial Guard stormtrooper units, but with slightly more augmentations, putting them somewhere "between" storm troopers and Space Marines. All of these are completely plausible, and based on the preferences of the Magi who build them. [Conflicting sources]

All Skitarii models (other than the Terrax, Secutarii Hoplites, and Secutarii Peltasts) have the Doctrina Imperatives ability. So long as you have at least one model alive in your army with the Doctrina Assembler keyword (i.e. a single Tech-Priest of any type or a Skitarii Marshal) at the start of the round, then units with the Doctrina Imperatives ability have access to the buffs (and debuffs) from one of the four different Doctrina Imperatives at your disposal. edition is on the way, and with it a whole raft of changes to the factions of Warhammer 40,000.
