About this deal

Three months later, almost to the day, on October 22, she was found in trees next to the A1093 in Martlesham with a fractured skull. Our main lines of enquiry remain centred around fully exploiting all the forensic opportunities, as these are at present the only realistic way we are going to learn more about the victim.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the discovery to come forward. They also found the man, who had “serious injuries” and was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge for treatment. He remains there in a stable condition and he is under arrest on suspicion of two counts of murder, police said on Wednesday. On Christmas Day at the end of the Eucharist service the Lord Mayor and Corporation process from the Nave to the tomb of Archbishop Simon of Sudbury, where the Lord Mayor lays a wreath of roses on behalf of the city.

The judge said Nash “attempted to justify these murders with relation to a deeply flawed set of beliefs about the law that you’ve got from internet searches”. He said the defendant had shown no remorse for the killings. The 21-year-old was at home with her 18-month-old daughter at the time of the incident, with her partner heading out to work only hours before. Another of Suffolk’s unsolved murders is that of Doris Shelley, who died in 1993 after having been hit on the head during a burglary at her Martlesham home. By far this is my favorite of the Captain Lacey mysteries. As the events were wrapping up at the end of the previous book, Lacey has accepted a position as assistant to the headmaster of an exclusive boys school in the country. But the city life continues to follow him in the form of that beloved dandy, Grenville. We also have opportunity to get to know more about the character of Marianne, the young actress who once lived above Lacey. Marianne has entrusted Lacey with the gift of her secret, as long as she keeps it from their mutual friend, Grenville. Grenville is beside himself since he elevated Marianne's circumstances, but she won't stay in the gilded cage he's built for her. Now Lacey finds himself caught in the middle between two dear friends.

There are 10 novels with Captain Lacey, the dashing goodlooking hero, so far. Historical crime investigations whodunnit books.

They are always twisty and delightful. I started reading them because I was getting interested in Murder Mysteries. And they are great murder mysteries, but I am loving the sub plot of all the characters that is being woven from book to book. It almost feels now like the murders are the subplot. And that is such a lovely twist! However, one person could never be traced. A man wearing steel-rimmed glasses has never been found, and was subject to an e-fit released by Suffolk Police. The suitcases Bernard Oliver's body was discovered in. Picture: Suffolk Police Latest test results have indicated the victim was a white male, approximately 5ft 9in tall, of medium build and North European, said police. Questions still remain around the murders of husband and wife Peter and Sylvia Stuart, from Weybread, who were reported missing on June 3, 2016 by their daughter, who had not heard from either of her parents since May 28.
