About this deal

I understand there has been a lot of change. Yes, relationships need to build. But I don't care if they've played together for ten minutes or fifteen years, you cannot lose at home to Nottingham Forest like that. We were so, so toothless. Felt like at 2-0 in complete control, would’ve been a good time to send a message to City and the other rivals that we mean business again this season. Might be a bit entitled tho, idk. There are so many things that frustrate me about this Forest team that makes me question what the ambition is for the long term style of play if we do stay up, but I’ve got to say, one thing we all take for granted that you get in abundance from every other teams fans and what we’ve said about forest teams gone by is, not questioning the understanding of what we’re doing on the pitch. Even if it’s not pretty, the players get it, the fans get it, and everyone’s together throughout the match trying to make it get us 3 points. They arrived in addition to six previous signings - Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner, Ola Aina, Andrey Santos, Gonzalo Montiel and Murillo. We have struggled all season against crap teams. Still the main reason why we won’t win the league. No consistency

He expected Forest to park the bus, which they did. This was the anti-bus lineup that he planned day 1 when he acquired Havertz and started shifting Partey to RB. Worked ok for 1st half, but not spectacular. Your last point there about them being a good team - they are, but are a good Championship side. In Premier League terms, they’re just another Burnley. As mentioned earlier, they went all out to spoil and frustrate with 10 men behind the ball. Yes they defended like lions, but that was wave, after wave, after wave of us there Felipe is an awfully good defender for a team like a Forest to have. I know they’ve been collecting players but he seems a really good get for themWe played like a world class team in the first 30 minutes against Palace, made everyone sit up and take notice. Today was a grind from the first whistle. Yes we dominated the ball but created very little. We are credited with creating the largest Empire in history. I believe we ruled about 23% of the known world at the time. Never a pen but TNT show the replay endlessly and have Rio nodding along to how much of a pen it is. Cooper said after they were speaking about 'what ifs' that's massive confidence from someone who came in 2nd last time out.

There Should Be No Way That You Ever Set Up A Team This Defensive To Start The Season With What We've Spent Cooper very complementary about city. Nice and refreshing to have a positive interview from another manager. And the sign on song, do the daft northerners even know what it means? Are they Tory twats in Nottingham? Robin Hood my arse. Good first half, disjointed 2nd despite some nice play. Forrests goal was a good goal , does not have to be we are crap all the time. Just have to hold hands up and say fair play to them Gave us a bit of a game there as on the night not much difference between CL favourites and Championship side. That's the plus about the FA Cup as it was their European night and a great atmosphere.

I usually fear the opposition getting a mad flukey goal but, weirdly, I can feel more coming our way. Noticed there were quite a few 'parked the bus comments' think we'll get the tag this year but it's lazy and doesn't take in the whole game plan. Park the bus does not have an outlet apart from shanking it towards the oppo corner flag, our outlet is lethal at times, just need to make more of them and be ultra clinical. Also mikel need to do basic stuff not against different systems but let's not treat teams like Nottingham like we play manutd or Liverpool If we'd lost today, I wouldn't be looking forward to this quite so much. Could have been nervy, is Cooper's job on the line?, etc.Great save from Matt Turner in the deflected Rice shot. We’ve had some outstanding keepers in the last few years . . Martinez, Leno, Ramsdale, Turner all top draw. Should have scored four, didn’t adjust for Elanga‘s pace and conceded a dumb one. Was it just me or did that look like a Forest player handled in the box from our corner that led to their goal?

Probably need another goal. We've only had two clean sheets in the PL since the resumption after the world cup (9 games) It's an obvious window for me where we have looked at how to just take the system we have and play it better Soon as we expect to get 3 points from the start we aren't the same level team. It's very significant. The atmosphere is very very different. Not only do we play bad football, the way the opposition acts when playing us makes the game unwatchable. The win is all that matters. Credit to Forest for turning that into a battle, dragging us down a level and not giving up. We perhaps should have coped better but it’s been a busy period. Think Forest played really well, reminded me of how Brentford played against us at the beginning of the season. That Djed Spence looks like a really good player.
