About this deal

If you’re a solo worship designer—that is, you do all the service and set planning/design, break free from that leadership and ministry barrier this summer. So mapping out a process now for the fall will ensure that you have new (and qualified) team members on the platform in January. In the starting stages of your worship team, it’s important that you only choose a few “core” songs that you’ll practice and play regularly.

What is our regularly scheduled practice time? Are there any times that are more convenient, since we’ll all be here prior to or after a service time? In June, invite your leaders and/or potential leaders to a training event where you teach and demo on how you planned this month’s songs and sets. Then, work together to plan July songs. For example, my team has a WhatsApp group chat where we send encouragement to each other and funny worship YouTube videos. It's been a great tool to keep the team connected and encouraged throughout the week. God is the eternal maker of heaven and earth, ever existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit You may wish to look at the Saint your school is named after or how this festival is celebrated by Christians in other parts of the world.

Some of those things you can begin to do now, while others will require more growth and a bigger budget. But you’ll be ready for it when the time comes. Bust out the Christmas decorations and ugly sweaters, whip up some wassail, and spin a vinyl of Bing Crosby’s White Christmas. Implement a change in a ministry operation with a trial run or pilot program. Maybe it’s an overhaul to your scheduling process. Or it’s a change to your rehearsal you want to make. Paul encouraged the Christians in Thessalonica who are concerned about what will happened to those who have died before Jesus’ return. They have nothing to worry about.

24. Pilot a new policy or ministry system change.

Pray: Father God, we pray that you will help us when things are difficult. Please help me with…Thank you that you hear my prayers. Amen.

This will show you who has natural gifts for planning an engaging journey of worship. And who doesn’t. Raising up worship leaders is a major part of strengthening your worship ministry. There are 4 major steps in this process. 1. Find Team Members With Potential Remember to think how your collective worship is an expression of your School Vision and how you will measure impact. Think about whether a suggested resource is suitable for your context) The only way to achieve such a level of confidence is to practice, practice, and practice some more! And just like everyone else, you’d like to slow your pace, go on a vacation, and have a Sunday or two away. Not to mention that your kids are out of school, and your spouse is probably wishing you could be home more. Having someone you have mentored rise up and become a worship leader themselves has to be the most amazing thing. It's my absolute favourite thing to see. All Church of England schools should be committed to offering high quality collective worship, recognising and valuing collective worship as central to fostering a sense of community and to expressing the school’s Christian vision.
