Description

Aside from the numbered bags there are about 10 (I forgot to count…) unnumbered bags containing larger parts. Parts that caught my eye in this box were these Roller Coaster ramp pieces. This the their first appearance in dark grey, and you’ll get 8 of them.

I did take the Rok Zgalin Kobe’s advice (I’ll share my interview with him soon!), and had a few Eiffel Tower documentaries, videos and podcasts prepared for the build. The first major repetitive task comes with adding the greenery. There are 8 small and 8 large trees and 48 street lamps to be placed. In total, 432 of Plant Flower Plate Round 1 x 1 with 5 Petals are used. Plate Special 2 x 2 with Only 2 studs in Sand Yellow/ Dark Tan (6396392 | 33909) was introduced in October in 21336 The Office. If you're looking for an amazing Lego® set to build, the Creator Expert 10307 Eiffel Tower Paris is a great option. It's an incredibly detailed and realistic replica of the real thing. The finished model is sturdy and makes for a stunning display piece. The build process is fairly straightforward and even though the finished product is quite large, it's not too difficult to move around or display. There are about 12 parts that come in quantities in excess of 100, including 704x of the badly damaged 1×1 clip mentioned below, and a potentially ‘evil’ 666x 1×6 plates. Naturally, almost all of these high-volume parts are 199 Dark Stone Grey Dark Bluish Gray. The exception is 1×1 Round w/ 5 petals (part 24866) which you get in large quantities in both 37 Bright Green and 28 Dark Green Green. Injection Moulding Quality Issues

The parts in10307 Eiffel Tower To be fair, even when some of the most talented AFOLs build MOC’s based on key landmarks, they take similar shortcuts to achieve the right ‘look’ without re-creating the structure in the same way. Overall, it is perfectly acceptable, but falls short of exceptional. Value

medium unmarked bag: containing 6x – 8×8 plates with grille (part 4151) in 199 Dark Stone Grey Dark Bluish Gray. Once this section is complete, it attaches to the lower half and is secured with four 2×2 tiles at the join.

For the curious, since the real tower is 1083′ tall at the tip, a minifigure scaled version would have to be about 1:44, or over 24′ tall. Reducing all the way down to the nanofigure (the tiny minifigure trophy/statue) scale of about 1:165 results in a tower about 6.5′ tall. Some might argue that LEGO could have gone for that benchmark with this set, but c’mon. This one feels big and expensive enough already, thank you. Eiffel Tower looks amazing, it is resplendent and serves wonderfully as the ultimate, one-of-a-kind LEGO experience that anyone spending hundreds of pounds, dollars or Euros on would hope for. It pays such loving tribute to one of modern world architecture’s most famous buildings and stands so impressively once built. While LEGO is targeting a very specific type of customer with 10307 Eiffel Tower (affluent, has enough space and wants a 1.5m Eiffel Tower to build and display), ultimately, I’m glad the set exists. More latticework is built, again with a very similar build to what we’ve seen on the earlier levels. These slot into the larger framework and require quite a bit of fiddling to get all the crossbeams aligned.

My least favourite part of the build are these arches, which like the real Eiffel Tower, have no load bearing capabilities and are just there for decorative purposes. With over 10,000 pieces, the experience of building the Lego® Creator Expert 10307 Eiffel Tower Paris is unlike any other. There are 74 numbered bags in the Lego Eiffel Tower set. And while there are plenty of repetitive sections, the level of detail in this set is incredible, and it's clear that a lot of time and effort went into creating it. From the first bag, I was captured and hooked, and the anticipation in seeing this massive model come together was very enjoyable, and a testament to Rok Zgalin Kobe’s immense talent and efforts. NOTE: Bags 51, 54, 57, 59, 64, 67, 71-74 were found inside of the smaller white box (6418327) rather than loose inside of Box #3 (like the rest of the bags). I do not know why they did this only for just one of the three boxes. Bags 41 – 51: Frustum-shaped central module
