Simplicity is underrated. Sometimes, there isn’t a need for bells and whistles. All that is needed is a solid product to do a job. Vantage scopes deliver performance beyond what is expected at this price point. With the design focus on functionality and performance in the field, the Vantage line represents tremendous value without cutting corners on the things that matter.Adjustable objective (AO) models allow you to correct parallax error down to 10 yards. The double-crosshair reticle etched in the eyepiece makes it easy to center an object, whether you are aligning your computerized telescope or finding deep-sky objects on your own. The reticle can be focused separate from the finder itself. A battery-powered illuminator lights up the crosshair with a soft, dark adapted eye friendly red glow, and the illumination can be easily adjusted by turning the rotary on/off knob. ExcellentGood quality optics, was easy to set up on a NexStar 8SE. Although it is far superior to the red dot finder, I have kept the latter mounted alongside; it is sometimes useful for preliminary positioning,as the RACI scope has fairly high magnification.
