About this deal

Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Pure-Castile Soaps are multi-surface all-purpose cleaners good for just about any task. Wash face, body, hair, hands! Clean toilets, bathtubs, countertops, dishes—great for laundry, mopping, pets, and aromatherapy —with no synthetic preservatives, detergents or foaming agents—none! Dilute! Dilute! OK!! For detailed product uses, read Lisa Bronner's Liquid Soaps Dilutions Cheat Sheet Ingredients To clean, I put a little on a damp terry cleaning cloth or kitchen towel and just wipe. I use it on kitchen and bathroom counters, and I dissolve it in water to mop with. I prefer to use the tea tree for cleaning.

Use when running water isn’t an option due to illness, large cast or bandage, or when hiking, camping, etc. Combine 1 ½ tsp. (7.5 mL) soap with 1 cup (240 mL) water in a spray bottle. Spray body wash lightly on skin, and wipe with a wet (not dripping) cloth. Dry skin. Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Mentha Arvensis, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Mentha Piperita, Citric Acid, Tocopherol USES: There are 18 official uses, but we tested it as a body wash, face cleanser, shampoo, shaving foam, bubble bath, and toothpaste. For hands, you really just need the tiniest of drops. It is a very strong soap so a little bit goes a long way. You don't need to wash your hair every day. That's not really about this particular shampoo, just in general. If you don't believe me, ask your stylist. Just, when you take a shower, rinse it and condition it, if you choose to use a conditioner. As I stated above, I really only wash mine once a week. Trust me; nobody will be able to tell.I’m so excited to review one of my favorite products: Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap in peppermint. I remember getting my first bottle of this almost 20 years ago, when it seemed everybody in New York City had one in their shower. What got my attention at first was the label—literally every square inch is covered in some form of raving well-being philosophy, scripture, or sage wisdom. And the stuff inside is legendary, and nothing if not versatile. Loaded with organic fair-trade oils, this "18-in-1" product is a one-stop shop, making it a great body wash, face cleanser, shampoo, shaving foam, bubble bath—you can even brush your teeth with it. It’s also ideal for around the house as dishwashing liquid as well as a terrific all-purpose cleaner that’s safe for kids and pets, according to the brand. Ingredients The simple ingredients list of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap explains a lot—you can basically tag each of its 10 ingredients with a specific function. The base is a collection of pure oils including organic coconut oil, organic palm kernel oil, organic olive oil, organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil—all of which have been saponified so that when you mix it with water, it creates such a robust lather. If you’ve used shower oils before, be warned that Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap is nothing like that. It doesn’t feel oily at all on the skin, and it certainly doesn’t leave behind that oily veil that gives such products their charm. Our soap is shown to be readily biodegradable under the stringent testing conditions utilized pursuant to OECD Guideline 310. The Soap With More Than 18+ Uses! Wet the make-up brushes in water. Add 1-2 drops soap to the bristles. Massage in gently for 10+ seconds, then rinse. Repeat as needed until water runs clear. Face Cleanser: I knew even before bringing the peppermint-scented lather to my face that it would be too much. While Dr. B’s peppermint is a dream on my body, I felt it was too drying for my sensitive skin. If you’re super oily though, it might be the right level of clean you’re looking for.

(15 mL) in a quart (1 L) of water. Optional: Add ½ tsp. (1.25 mL) cayenne pepper or cinnamon. Spray plants twice daily in the cool of the day until infestation clears. Pre-dilute 1 part soap with 10 parts water. Squirt on a scrub brush and scrub dishes. Alternatively, add 1-2 Tbsp. (15-30 mL) Castile Soap in a large sink of water. Use a small squirt of soap for one pot, or more if needed. To avoid water spots in hard water conditions, dry dishes by hand.

Shampoo: Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap lathered up like any good shampoo should, leaving my hair feeling clean and my scalp all tingly. Those with drier hair may want to follow up with conditioner, but it was just enough clean for my short coif. Our soap is shown to be readily biodegradable under the stringent testing conditions utilized pursuant to OECD Guideline 310. The Lavender Soap With More Than 18+ Uses! Tbsp. (15 mL) soap in a quart of water in a spray bottle. Spray and squeegee. Follow up with pure club soda, or half vinegar/ half water and squeegee.Over the years, I’ve tried all of the eight fragrances Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap comes in, and definitely hold peppermint as my favorite. It smells fresh and authentic, more actual peppermint plant than candy cane. On the skin, it gives you that icy-hot bracing feeling which I love both at night after a run and first thing in the morning, especially during hot weather. Peppermint is also known for its calming and soothing effects, and a few whiffs of this can make your shower or bath an aromatherapy experience to remember. RINSE REALLY REALLY WELL. After you have rinsed your hair and the soap is all out of it; rinse it all over again. Shaving Foam: I only shave the top part of my beard, and literally one drop of Dr. B’s on each cheek was enough to get plenty of lather that allowed the blade (Gillette Mach 3) to glide effortlessly over my skin. Lastly, I was in the process of using up a bottle of bronner's when I initially wrote this review. Since then, I used that bottle up, and went to the store intending to buy a replacement bottle of lavender. Well, they were out. They did have peppermint, which I bought a bottle of, and they also had the lavender in bar form. I got experimental one day in the bath, and used the bar form to wash my hair. FANTASTIC. Lathers great, cleans great, smells great. The one aspect of using the bar to wash your hair that I liked the most was this; when you use the liquid, it's difficult to control how much goes into your hand. If you are using too much of the liquid, then it becomes hard to 'control' in your hand. What I am saying is, you pour the correct amount into your hand, and then you rub your hands together rapidly to emulsify it, and then you apply it to your hair and wash away. If you've put too much into your hand, then you lose some of it when you're rubbing your hands together. PHEW! My gosh that was hard to explain. My POINT...finally...is that the bar eliminates this problem completely, so if you're a fan of the liquid, give the bar a try too, I like them both equally.
