I’m washing my hands when I hear the distinctive tapping of other heels approaching and the muted murmur of feminine voices. I shut off the water and dry my hands on one of the fluffy towels from the basket beside the sink before tossing it into the hamper. One of the women is complaining about her blisters. The other is talking nonsensically and fast, indicating she’s already over-indulged. It costs a small fortune to get wasted in a place like this, so she’s probably someone I know. Or this supposedly having grumpy h & playboy H?? Do you mean grumpy h & and a man with zero personality? Cause this is how I pictured Crew:

I keep my eyes on the curl of lime peel balancing on the rim of my drink. Mostly because I know who Nadia is talking about. We’ve been sitting in this booth at Proof for forty-five minutes. In that stretch of time, I’ve only spotted one person who could possibly merit the awed tone she’s using. Since I’m the single one in the booth, this will inevitably circle around to me. Whatever Crew said to Evan leaves him pale. “Enjoy your night, ladies.” Crew winks and walks away, with the blonde trailing right behind him. I say nothing. If he’s trying to impress me, money is the wrong way to do it. I don’t know what he’s trying to do. He approached me, all but confirming the outcome of our fathers’ conversation last week.I really enjoyed Fake Empire; it felt like the book was specifically made with me in mind. It’s a book that includes a modern arranged marriage storyline between two of New York’s elite families. I love rich people drama. And this was that but so much more. My father hasn’t broached the topic with me himself in years. He assumes I’ll do what he wants without question when the time comes, and for once, he’s right.

Siempre han tenido una relación cordial pero no se conocen, siempre es un simple saludo y ya, pero llega el momento de casarse y es cuando se dan cuenta la realidad de su situación. Lyrically, "Fake Empire" is a commentary about a generation lost to disillusion and apathy. Vocalist Matt Berninger further explained to The Quietus that it is about "where you can't deal with the reality of what's really going on, so let's just pretend that the world's full of bluebirds and ice skating." For someone who has had everything handed to him his entire life, he appears to pull his own weight at Kensington Consolidated. While wearing an entitled smirk, but still. His father, Arthur Kensington, values success over nepotism. He wouldn’t be grooming Crew for future CEO if he didn’t have what it takes to thrive in the role.

Su relación si fue muy ríspida al principio, pero tuvo muy buen desarrollo, los dos se empezaron a conocer y al final eran bien tiernos. An interview that can be found at http://www.aquariumdrunkard.com/2008/07/10/matt-berninger-the-national-the-ad-interview/:Instead, it challenges everything Scarlett and Crew thought they knew about themselves, their families, and most of all…each other. ---

Everyone in here already knows who he is. But even if Crew had a different last name and a less robust bank account, I still think I would be staring. I’m just saying—she probably can’t get anyone else to marry her. Her father needed to dangle billions to snag a catch. Pathetic.”

I loved this book. I had FUNNNNN reading it, you know? And that's important. I fully think it doesn't have a very big plot; it's more about the journey and trust between the two characters. To see them grow into a couple couple instead of a marriage that was only for convenience/arranged. I loved both characters and they made me smile and enjoy this story so much! I do highly recommend you reading it if you enjoy the tropes and a billionaire heroine (we don't have a lot of them in romance! we do have a lot of billionaire heroes). Second of all, underwhelming when it could've been mind-blowing. The heroine flipped & rode his ass to kingdom come and I felt NOTHING. The only reason I have any foothold in it is the fact I’m the sole heir to the Ellsworth empire. Complications during my birth prevented my mother from ever conceiving again. Even a man as cold-hearted and indifferent as my father couldn’t stomach filing for divorce on those grounds alone. It’s one of the main reasons he’s pushed for my marriage to a Kensington, though. There was never any question—in his mind, at least—that I would marry well. The antiquated elite see no value in their children marrying anyone with less money than they do. Marrying down. Especially when it comes to a son who will carry on the name to the next generation. My whole body tenses. Preparing for what, I don’t know. We’ve swerved so far off script I can’t remember what our lines are. Edit: ik she was being sarcastic now, ya'll can stop talking abt it. It was confusing to me either way.
