Insecure Love Interest: This is the main reason why Ripley is initially uncomfortable with getting into a relationship with Zeronis; she viewed the original text as law, and so she believed she should not take the “heroine” position from Etoile, even if she does slowly fall in love with Zeronis. Everybody Loves Blondes: Applies to Erenel's entire society; the novel's author adored blond hair and made most of his major characters blonde. Ripley, Sylvia, Wright, and Archen's king and prince are exceptions to this trope. Fiery Redhead: Ripley is loud, outgoing, and regularly explodes whenever things go wrong. Zeronis is heavily into that. My gaze slowly traveled upward from the hand to the attached arm. The woman I met yesterday certainly didn’t have biceps this big.

What Did I Do Last Night?: The plot begins with Ripley waking up in Duke Zeronis' bedroom, having no recollection of what happened the night before at Etoile's birthday party, only that she possibly slept with the Duke. She learns bits and pieces of what happened over the course of the story. The art is very good, first off. However, like the title says the plot is moved entirely by the female lead not having a brain. Sure, at times the bad guys do their thing, but each time it's so obviously coming (most times she even gets warned about it) and preventable that the female lead's actions are as if she's digging her own grave. And how does she get out of all of these conflicts? Half the time it's her good heart that gets across to others, and half the time it's just others (the duke) conveniently there to save her. Ripley, es una locura total y junto con su sirviente Sylvia, conspira para volver la historia a su ruta original. Para cumplir su objetivo, Ripley crea misiones un tanto... peculiares

Ripley’s Friends and Family

Men Are Childish: Zeronis often acts like a clingy boy when it comes to Ripley. One of the best ways to get on his good side is to frequently compliment him or Ripley. Ripley herself calls him ‘adorable’ when he acts like this and compares the younger Prince Chris to him (to his displeasure). Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Ripley has flaming red hair and bright green eyes, standing out amongst the majority of blond-haired, blue-eyed cast. Murder the Hypotenuse: Rose in the original novel does everything she can to get rid of the romantic rival standing in her way of becoming the Duchess, including murder. She also tries this against Ripley, attempting to kill her and Sylvia while disguised as a maid. She ends up setting the Duke’s mansion on fire and getting so severely burned she goes insane. Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Rose is able to get away with a lot of the offenses she causes because her father is wealthy and has connections. She literally paid off the abbey she was sent to for kidnapping Ripley so she could escape and try to kill her once more. facts about a Japanese gem, manga, would be a big loss for you. There are many reasons why there are

Devoted to You: Once he finds love, he becomes loyal and unwavering in his devotion. With Ripley, he can't even try to make her jealous through flirting with someone else, because he is just too much in love with her to do it properly. It appeared I was near the beginning of the novel. According to the plot, I knew it was the heroine’s birthday today, and she was meant to meet the duke for the first time at her birthday party. Then, after a whirlwind of happy coincidences, they would live happily ever after… But it would take about a year for them to get married. It was a typical romance fantasy novel—a novel in which every scene was connected through pure coincidence, with the male lead’s hotness and the female lead’s kindness being the only things holding the story together. That kind of novel. I struggled to pry my eyes open and desperately wished I had someone by my side as I searched for water. Genki Girl: Ripley is enthusiastic about everything and is always keeping herself busy, from her business to parties.

Edit: I'll also add the manhua plot. Manhwa (korean manga), Manhua (chinese manga). As I've read both, they have a similarities in their plot. It's either the FL is OP or FL is damsel in distress. At least not all manhwa is the same as manhua so it's fine.. While I mainly touched on the reasons this isn't a ten - the art, comedy, and likeable characters make this an overall good read. The question made me open my eyes again, and I stared at her hand. It was way too large to be a woman’s hand. Holy cow—Ripley sure had a good pedigree for a side character. She was the daughter of a count, for heaven’s sake! Even the heroine was only the daughter of a baron. No he leído muchos manhwas con reencarnaciones, pero dentro de mi corta experiencia puedo decir que este es de los mejores que he leído.

Where the story shines is with its comedy. Already mentioned the pretty art but all of the comedic expressions are great and really add to the frequent bits. Though I didn't find most of it laugh out loud funny I'm still really impressed with the well-executed dialogue and art. Deadpan Snarker: Sylvia ia definitely the queen of snark. Zeronis and Rose show shades of this as well. Because today is the first time I’ve ever been your lady! But I couldn’t say that. “Uh…w-was I? I must’ve been half-asleep,” I said, hurriedly dabbing my face with the towel. I had to be careful. I would have a hard time if she thought something was wrong and had me sent off for psychiatric evaluation. Oh, of course!” I replied about five seconds too late, because I had forgotten who I was while stuffing my face with macarons. And I turned around to see… She gestured again, and another maid came in pushing a trolley with about ten jewelry boxes on it. The maids opened them one by one, displaying dazzling jewels of every color. Then you must be…” I gulped, terrified that I might be right. The heir to the main character’s family could only be one person. There are dozens of webtoons that portray crimes, abuse etc. for the sake of the plot but not a SINGLE ONE has romanticised it to this extent. The bright colors, the protag's inner "admiration"& side characters pitting them together? What the actual hell?? In other webtoons with crime portrayal you can at least tell that it's wrong e.g. through an inner voice or side characters confronting them (e.g. "Not Even Bones" while both of the protags were doing awful things, they still showed signs of regret — or even when they didn't, it was still evident that it was wrong) No matter how hard I thought about it, I couldn’t escape the fact that I had possessed a character in a novel. The title of the novel was none other than The Flower of Erenel, which I had just read—or should I say, re-read, for maybe the zillionth time—a few days ago. I was sure of it, seeing as how there was a baron’s daughter with an unfortunate past here.
