We can get ourselves a quiet PC case; that’s what we can do! The market has exploded with more of us craving a silent operation; quiet PC cases will use many technologies to keep the noise to a minimum. Unfortunately, they can’t do anything about the shouting when you get shot mid-heist! Here’s an alternative spec... it’s cheaper too! Given the amount of time you’ll likely be waiting for a 3080, you’ll be able to swap in a 5900X CPU.

Silence-optimized construction with industrial sound-damping bitumen on the front, top, and side panels With a closed-case PC tower, you are more likely to get dampening materials that will keep the sound within the tower than project it out into the room. While glass panels are handy for easy access or to show off your build, they aren’t always the most practical. Flexibility Customers enjoyed the case; they found the cable management excellent and kept any rogue wires away from the fans allowing fresh air to enter the case. They praised the solid construction and well-fitting parts of the case too.Fractal Design’s case features front and side panels lined with industrial-grade sound-dampening material. Customers found the two 120mm GP-12 X2 fans quiet while in operation and still delivered excellent airflow to keep the PC case cool.

cages in forward position; additional space required for front fans/radiators installed below the shroud) SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 6900MB/R, 5000MB/W) We like to opt for a dual drive storage layout for a number of reasons, this 500GB drive would be for Windows and applications Intel® Core™ i5 10-Core Processor i5-12600KF (3.7GHz) 20MB Cache The 12600K is still an incredible CPU for your uses and saving here allows a more balanced spec elsewhere The XL model comes standard with eight 3.5" and 2.5" mounts and can expand up to eighteen. 2.5" fitment for the XL is the same two included but can be expanded up to five total with extra trays. PSU fitment for both models is virtually unlimited with the preinstalled single HDD cage. The PSU area reaches up to 353mm with one cage in the Define 7 while the XL reaches up to 386mm. Installing two HDD cages drops PSU length to 227mm and 260mm for the XL version. This is more than enough for any current-gen PSU, even the insane long 1600W units.

Fractal Design Define 7 combines a striking aesthetic design with a bevy of convenient build features and impressive performance.

The PSU dust filter will also work to keep your PC dust-free and clean while allowing airflow to access your PC. Some customers found the filter a little restrictive and that the airflow into the PC was compromised. This issue was not widely reported, so it should not affect your PC and its dust-free airflow!

Be Quiet!’s PC case is water-cooling ready and can house radiators up to 360mm on the top, front, or rear of the case. The flexibility of his PCS case is fantastic! The case also comes with two-preinstalled pure wings fans to ensure a quiet operation. ASUS® TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 (LGA1700, USB 3.2, PCIe 5.0) - ARGB Ready Our prferred mid-tier motherboard, this one also has WiFi so you can save on the WiFi card We’ve been hot and cold on Fractal over the past couple years. Their whole lineup has had consistently high build quality, but our opinions have ranged from the highly-rated Meshify cases that have excellent cooling potential (with some aftermarket fans added in) down to the highly-priced and unexciting Define S2 Vision RGB. Today we’re reviewing the Define 7, successor to the Define R6, a case that fell on the positive end of that scale in our review. We’re sure there’s some reason for Fractal dropping the “R,” but we neglected to ask. Fractal offers fast charging and speeds of up to 10Gbps thanks to its five USB ports featuring USB-C charging power and capabilities. Great for those who crave fast speeds! I should have mentioned I'll be moving over another 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD from my old PC, so hopefully that gives me enough storage.

The fans work to maximize airflow without adding noise to the case. Some customers found that the case was not as quiet as they expected, especially the included fans. The issue was not widely reported, but one worth considering for those craving a silent operation! The case is still quiet, with many customers praising a virtually silent operation. Today’s winner, and the best quiet PC case overall, is Fractal Design’s Define 7 case. At a reasonable price, the case delivers low noise levels thanks to its high-density sound damping. The case comes with several color options, too, allowing you to tailor it to your style.

Looking at another thread, it looks like the following spec will fit the bill, but I'd appreciate comments/advice! (I'd like to bit a bit future-proofed: I might not buy another one for another 10 years, but budget is limited In that same vein, we also received an accessory kit with the Define 7 containing an entire replacement top panel. Using this panel defeats some of the noise damping features of the case, but it does allow mounting fans and radiators, vastly expanding the cooling options. The downside of swappable panels like this is that customers are inevitably going to pay for a panel that they don’t use, but the ability of the Define 7 to switch from a silence-focused case with a ton of drive mounts to a liquid-cooled case with massive radiators and a reservoir at the front, or anything in between. The case comes with three Pure Wings 2 140mm fans to deliver excellent airflow throughout the case. There is also space to add additional fans, too, for those after a very cool system. Not sure what you need from your quiet PC case? Let our buyer’s guide help you there! Cooling Power I have a 9-year old PC which is used for work (Office365, Teams etc), a bit of gaming (Civilisation mainly) and movie streaming (Netflix and others).A fully windowed side panel is made from tempered glass, which allows you to view the PC’s internal components. It is worth noting here that tempered glass panels are not the best for reducing noise in PCs. Customers praised this PC case’s size, offering plenty of space for a range of components and larger motherboards. What’s great about this case is how compatible it is with a range of motherboards! It can fit ATX, M-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards! And if you are tired of rogue cables, Fractal Design has thought of that too! There are multiple options for cable management with this case to keep your PC organized. Customers enjoyed the pre-installed velcro cable ties, making cable management simple and easy!
