About this deal

You can often use your smartphone. With most smartphones, there is an option to turn on the phone’s WiFi Hotspot. This is the method I use every day to share my phone’s internet connection with my computer due to our poor landline broadband.

We like that it provides a clear picture – it’s a HD TV with an edge-to-edge display. It can also be connected to the internet to give you access to a variety of streaming services, including Netflix, Now TV, iPlayer, Sky Store, Disney+ and YouTube. It’s even Bluetooth compatible, as well as coming with Freesat. Once connected, simply turn up the manual volume on the speakers to maximum and then use the TV remote to control the volume. We also like how you have the option of wirelessly casting your mobile phone to it – like its bigger counterpart, the caravan TV is compatible with both Apple and Android phones for some useful flexibility. The way we watch television has changed dramatically in recent years: from the types of screen that we use to the way the signal gets to the screen – and these changes are equally applicable to television viewing in a caravan. What I wanted to do was provide some tips on how to get the best viewing (and listening) experience from the small portable TV in your caravan or motorhome. While Bluetooth speakers are flexible pieces of kit, they do require a certain level of knowledge and skill to setup. Furthermore, most 12V portable TV’s for caravans and motorhomes are not Bluetooth enabled. Most small flat-screen TV’s have pretty rubbish sound quality. This isn’t just for caravan TV’s though, we mean any small TV. This means that most on the list will not have an amazing sound quality no matter how good the brand is. The TV’s are that small that it’s impossible to build in any sort of quality speaker system.

The most common option is a portable satellite dish. However, I recently had a guest with a pretty high-end A-Class motorhome and integrated satellite dish. I know I can't receive Ch 4 or 5 at present, but what's the potential for these channels to become free to air in the near future? A good compromise between the built-in speakers and a soundbar would be to maybe take a Bluetooth speaker with you. You probably already own one of these at home which means as long as the TV supports Bluetooth you can connect it pretty easily. Where To BuyNever tried to use it for recording and the instructions are fairly complex. It seems that you can use a variety of devices for recording through the usb port and it does refer to the use of a portable hard disc but I believe flash drive should work. To be fair, Freeview can also have issues with poor signal quality due to lots of dense vegetation and buildings in the way. The caravan television also comes with a built-in satellite tuner with Freesat, offering access to over 170 channels (just make sure you have your satellite dish for this), while Freeview Play is also included. So the ‘Big 4’ 4G and 5G networks are EE, O2, Vodaphone and Three. The full roll-out of the 5G network is still quite a few years away. Currently, I’m with Three on an unlimited data contract, and I use my phone as a ‘Hotspot’ pretty much all day, every day. Streaming Services TV Data Usage
