Because, don’t get me wrong, spouting sexy nonsense during sex is actually fun and intimate and liberating. And if the book didn’t, for me, manage to convey that with the actual dirty talk exchanged, it did make me believe in the feelings behind it.

Miranda Silver writes sexy novels with a twist. She's happy to be putting her English degree to use, along with her love of drama, secrets, steam, and words. Miranda lives on the West Coast with her family, where she spends time outdoors whenever possible.This book was really sexy. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts. BUT I wish the hero has shown more vulnerability around the heroine. The heroine was constantly in distress or in a weaker position financially and emotionally, so having the hero be there for her at the end would have tied up the romance better. Since this book had to do the classic "Im breaking up with you because I dont deserve you" as the climax, their HEA felt rushed and unfinished. The H is calm cool and collected. His mystery is helped along by the way the author limited his POV. I loved it. We only hear from him when she has some pertinent information to drop. (Exactly how I like it 🤷🏼‍♀️) He’s so dominant and mean, reveling in mean dirty smexx … but he has a sweet side too, and was just as good at praise. 😍😍
