Description

If you’re looking for a pet vacuum, we think the Vax Air Lift Steerable Pet is probably the best option from this brand. It’s powerful, comes with a turbo tool, and features ahandy detachable canister Despite the lightweight design, the Vax Air Stretch Pet Max provides a 1.5-litre dust capacity. This is around average for an upright vacuum, but bigger than most cordless vacuums. Be prepared to empty it at least once when doing a full-house clean though. The Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre thanks to its long cord and hose, making it ideal for cleaning around the home. It also has a large dust bin, meaning it can easily accommodate large amounts of dust and debris without the need for frequent emptying. A downside is that the U85-AS-Pme doesn’t come with Vax’s “Steerable” technology. While it’s relatively lightweight, we still think there are more mobile options for manoeuvring around the home. If you’re looking for a vacuum that’s easy to manoeuvre around the home, a Vax Steerable, Dyson Ball or Shark Swivel model would be better. Tools & Accessories We don’t think it’s the most manoeuvrable vacuum on the market, but the steerable design does help when vacuuming around the home. We also like that it has a lightweight cylinder that can be lifted from the main body for easier stair cleaning, which helps solve a common issue for upright vacs.

As anyone with long hair knows, it’s important to remove hair from a vacuum’s brush bar. Vax recommends cutting hair from the U85-AS-Pme, although you can remove the brush bar if it needs to be replaced. Price & Competitor Comparison That violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising); However, if you’re looking for a vacuum cleanerthat’s relatively lightweight, has a long hose, and is simple to use, then the U85-AS-Pme Air Reach Pet Max is an excellent option. It doesn’t have the detachable canister of the Air Lift, but it is one of the best Vax vacuum cleaners – particularly for hard floors. It’s also a lightweight upright vacuum. Upright vacs tend to be heavier than other types, but the Vax weighs just 5kg, making it more convenient to carry up and down stairs. Kit Contains: 1 x pre-motor filter & 1 x post-motor HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particle Arrester - traps more dirt and dust particles than a regular filter)We found that the Vax Air Lift Steerable Pet provides strong all-round performance for the price – particularly for people with cats or dogs. It’s never going to match the best upright vacuums for cleaning performance, but we think it’s hard to beat in this price range. As the pet turbo tool attaches to the hose, the Vax provides excellent cleaning performance on stairs. It’s easy to clean both sides of a step, which isn’t the case for uprights without a pet tool.

Something has obstructed the brush bar. Remove belt cover, remove brushbar and clear any debris from around the brushbar itselfThe Vax U85-AS-Pme Air Stretch Max Pet is a popular budget upright vacuum cleaner. It’s a relatively powerful vacuum with a pet turbo tool, wide cleaning radius, and a simple design – along with a tempting price tag.

The Vax Mach Air Revive UCA2GEV1 is another budget upright vacuum. We’ve included it on this list as it does a great job of removing pet hair and is decent at cleaning carpets, making it a solid choice in this price range. Other features include a turbo tool, which is great for getting rid of pet hair in upholstery, and a 3-in-1 accessory. It doesn’t come with a HEPA filter though – for that you’ll need the Air Lift Advance model. The Vax U85-AS-Pme is part of the “Air Stretch” range. Vax vacuums in the Air Stretch series all have long power cords, but, unlike the Air Lift range, don’t have a lift-away cylinder. Like the Air Lift series, the U85-AS-Pme uses multi-cyclonic technology to prevent suction loss as the canister fills up. It’s lightweight at 4.9kg and has a long 13 metre power cord.

Place your hand over the hole located on the top right hand side of the machine, this is where the lid of the dirt container is normally attached to. As you would expect from a vacuum cleaner in this price range, there are a few downsides to the Vax Mach Air Revive though. While it’s a solid option for cleaning carpets and great for pet hair, it’s less effective on hard floors. We also would have liked a longer power cord, as the seven-metre cord feels restrictive. In terms of maneuverability, the Vax Air Stretch Pet Max features a lightweight design and swivel steering, allowing for easy navigation around furniture and other obstacles. It also has a low profile, making it convenient for cleaning under furniture. It’s worth noting that Vax recommends replacing the HEPA filter every 1-2 years, depending on how often you vacuum. This adds to the lifetime cost of the vacuum cleaner. You’ll also need to regularly clean the pre-motor filter to ensure the vacuum continues to be effective. Emptying & Cleaning
