Battery life may not be very long if using a lot of interactive features. Disney says the band should last a day, but we have early reports of battery life being exhausted after 2 hours of heavy gameplay.

When you’re in the parks touring all day, a comfortable park bag that’s the right size for you and your family is essential. Whereas some people like a small bag with only the absolute necessities, many prefer something larger that can hold more. Here are my three favorite park bags–small, medium, and large. In both Disney World and Disneyland, you can the MagicBand+ to play Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters in Galaxy’s Edge. This is a fun interactive game that sends you around Batuu, playing as a Bounty Hunter and collecting characters.

Disney Books

How can one size really fit all when it comes to a little soft plastic wristband? Disney has wisely created all MagicBands to have a tear away layer to make the band much smaller for the smallest of guests. MagicBand+ has this size customization as well. At Disney World, MagicBands work all over the resort. This includes the four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom), the water parks (Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon), and Disney Springs. They also work in all Disney hotels, shops, and restaurants there. Both MagicBand 2.0 and the new MagicBand+ will work at Disney World for most essential functions. Disneyland The MagicBand+ is the newest version, and it is more interactive than any of the versions that came before it. They come with a charger – similar to a smartwatch – and have lots of interactive features for use in the parks (more about this later!).

You can find all of this information for free online, but it’s nice to have everything in one compact book that you can hold in your hands. I used this extensively during the early planning stages of our first trip and enjoyed referencing it when choosing restaurants for our last trip.If the MagicBand+ interactive features are worthwhile comes down to the individual guest. It is a great feature to have for those that place value in playing scavenger hunts and some extra distractions to a typical theme park day. Kids especially would likely enjoy the games. Others who visit the parks mainly for rides and shows or who are short on time will probably not make use of the interactive features. MagicBand+ Pros We couldn’t leave out Disneyland when it comes to finding a cute MagicBand+! This bright blue band has the iconic Disneyland sign on the arm, and the center is Sleeping Beauty’s castle. credit: ShopDisney.com Bitbelts are small silicone bands that slide on Disney Magic Bands to keep them securely on wrists. Adults can wear them too, but they’re particularly recommended for kids who regularly fiddle with their Magic Bands, causing them to come loose. We witnessed three or four families in a tizzy after one of their children lost his/her Magic Band on our last trip! Bitbelts to the rescue!

This camera is expensive, but it is aaaaaamazing. The photos it takes are gorgeous, and videos are HD and crystal clear. I love it! It’s small and lightweight, too, and the battery lasts a long time, making it the perfect Disney park companion. If you’re in the market for a camera, I highly recommend the G7X. We don’t have children, and I am sure there are 100 more items to add to this spot, but below are two that my Disney friends with kids have mentioned time and time again. By now you are probably pretty tempted by the convenience factor of MagicBands. But are they a must-have for a Disney vacation? No. There have been some complaints about the battery life of MagicBand+, especially when playing Batuu Bounty Hunters, which is particularly draining on the battery. On a recent Disneyland trip, I found that I couldn’t even connect at all with the game when my band was in a low charge state. But I bet you are also worried about losing a MagicBand because of how much they cost, especially now with MagicBand+ on the scene. Disney previously provided replacement gray bands to guests who lost them for free. Now that MagicBands are no longer free, don’t expect replacements.Follow instructions in the app to link the MagicBand+ to your account, assign it to a guest, and pair it to your phone. You will then use the app to make sure it is charged, and the band software is up-to-date.

PRECISION FIT* // This MagicBand 2 skin fits snugly like a glove to the curves of your band without adding bulk. Silky Soft-touch Feeling: The matte finish of the MagicBand skin feels great in your hand, better than a naked MagicBand 2, you' ll forget it's even using a skin! You cannot underestimate the amount of walking you’ll do every day on a Disney vacation! We walked between 10 and 20 miles each day of our last trip. Because of that, you’ll want to make sure that you’re wearing very comfortable clothes and shoes. Here are some of my favorites: Hotel Keycard: For entering on-property hotels, guests have other room key options as well. The old “Key to the World” hotel card keys are still available if desired at Walt Disney World. And at Disneyland, hotel keycards are still the default as always. The technology is impressive (yes, one might even say “magic!”). But new technological innovations have a learning curve. As a result, many Disney visitors can be confused about how MagicBands work, who can get them, and all of their features and conveniences. And so much has changed since they were first released that even guests who have used them before may find that the details are different on a vacation today.

For Kids

One important thing to know about MagicBands is in which Disney destination you will find them. As of early 2023, MagicBands are now used at both Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. There have been no plans announced to introduce them in any of the international parks. Disney World Disney Magic Bands are wearable pieces of technology that you can use during your Disney trips. They are essentially Disney bracelet passes. They are made of flexible plastic and are completely waterproof.
