Description

This chilling compilation of tales covering arguably the downright nastiest gang of Chaos Space Marines is now coming out in French. Collecting three novels by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, this book follows a warband of bat-helmed maniacs guided by visions from the prophet Talos. You almost start to feel sorry for this sorry band of superhuman misfits. Almost… Space Marines with many years of service are organised into Sternguard Veteran squads, who wield finely tuned boltguns and combi-weapons. This new multi-part plastic kit builds five Veterans with your choice of Sternguard boltguns or combi-weapons, and includes the brand new pyrecannon heavy weapon as a heavy weapon option.* The third book in John French’s investigation of one of the most compelling followers of Chaos arrives as an MP3 audiobook. Chaos Space Marines eShorts We have all the up-to-date values and pricing for the lineup of Combat Patrol, Battleforces, and Vanguard boxes for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar for 2023 to help you save those hobby dollars!

Let’s pretend you’re going with Abaddon (which you could swap out for a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour and maybe another 5 Terminators instead). That’s 500-ish points before wargear. Combat Patrol: Necrons is an elite contingent of living metal warriors with a burning desire to return the galaxy to a state of cold stasis, including 10 Necron Warriors, three Skorpekh Destroyers, a Canoptek Doomstalker, and three Canoptek Scarab Swarms, all ready to do battle under the command of the implacable Necron Overlord Amonhotekh. The daemonic onslaught intensifies, with a Combat Patrol set focused on Khorne. Get the blood flowing with this hefty collection of 34 miniatures, which can be built to reach a Power Level of up to 33 and get you gaming straight away. This Combat Patrol-sized force is led by a fearsome Bloodmaster, ably supported by three Bloodcrushers mounted on Juggernauts, 10 slavering Flesh Hounds, and 20 Bloodletters – making a spectacular basis for a Khornate horde. If you like close combat, then these are the Marines for you. Plus who doesn’t love sculpted nips and abs on armour? WHERE NEXT? A Dark Apostle leads the combat patrol while reciting passages from a book… that’s on fire. He’s flanked by two dark disciples who are excellent in close quarters combat. Five Havocs are ready to bring the pain with heavy weapons, including an intimidating chaingun. Ten Chaos Space Marines bring a good mix of mid to close range weapons and the patrol is finished with heavy support in the form of a Helbrute that can dish out and take punishment as needed. You’ve seen the Armouring of a Space Marine ritual where an iconic piece of Warhammer lore was portrayed as it’s never been seen before. Now, you can learn more about the armour of Warhammer’s most recognisable warriors in this week’s new episode of Loremasters . It breaks down the development of Space Marine Power Armour* from the earliest ‘Thunder Armour’ through the Mark III and Mark IV suits, right up to the Mark X worn by Primaris Space Marines.

Combat Patrol uses simpler, one-side versions of the datasheet. You’ll also notice the red flash at the top of the Combat Patrol sheets – so you know you’re using the right one

Combat Patrol contents

The leader of Strike Force Agastus gets a standalone release, ready to join your Space Marine squads and grant the powerful Lethal Hits ability to all of their weapons. This intensely customisable kit can be equipped in many different ways, from the classic power fist and plasma pistol combo to power swords, bolt rifles, or the dreaded pointing finger. Brutalis Dreadnought It has taken many long years – and countless sacrifices – but finally Ahriman, once the Chief Librarian of the Thousand Sons and now a sorcerer in exile, is ready to attempt the most audacious and daring feat of his long life. His quest for knowledge and power has all been for one purpose, and he would now see that purpose fulfilled. His goal? Nothing less than undoing his greatest failure and reversing the Rubric that damned his Legion… Sternguard Veterans are among the best marksmen in the galaxy, turning decades of active service into a well-drilled set of skills that make them some of the most flexible and reliable members of the 1st Company. This multi-option set of five plastic miniatures includes loads of weapon options and detail parts, including a choice of combi-weapon or Sternguard bolt rifle for each veteran, a heavy bolter, and the brand new pyrecannon.** Lieutenant New to playing Tyranids and worried that your prized Tyranid Prime might be a little fragile? Psychostatic Veil gives the Terror of Vardenghast a 4+ invulnerable save, and makes it harder to target at range or hit in melee. After you’ve got some games under your belt, you can try turning it into a nimble buff piece with the Secretion Goad Enhancement, offering increased Armour Penetration to other units – perhaps your Termagant swarm . Glorious, venomous revenge!

The Desolation Squad takes conventional missile launchers and turns them up to 11, combining the raw power of superfrag or superkrak missiles with indirect-fire infantry suppression courtesy of the castellan launcher. Combat Patrol: Space Marines The Death Guard box does have a ton of value, but it comes mainly in the form of Poxwalkers, so that is hard to gauge. It is the box for you if you want a lot of Poxwalkers. Realistically, we need to save around 2-300 points for Wargear. So to play it safe, we’re going to just add another unit. You could go with more Chaos Marines but we’re going to mix it up with a “weird” option to expand our collection. A Venomcrawler, Obliterators, or Possessed could all be fun. I don’t think those are bad options for a brand new army. The Grey Knights one is similar to the Hexfire box, so if you grabbed that one, this might still have some value. Because who doesn’t need more minis, and they switched out the Crowe for the Terminators. So, some pretty decent stuff overall.

Updated Warhammer 40k Combat Patrol boxes Pricing & Values

If you prefer hunting Daemons rather than making pacts with them, the Grey Knights Combat Patrol features a Librarian in Terminator Armour , five Grey Knights in Terminator Armour , five Grey Knights (which you can build as a Strike Squad, an Interceptor Squad, a Purifier Squad, or a Purgation Squad), and a mighty Nemesis Dreadknight . The Terminators provide a sturdy core to your army, while the Dreadknight strolls across the battlefield slicing things up with a Nemesis greatsword or smashing them with a Nemesis daemon hammer. Castellan Crowe Over at Warhammer TV, the second explosive episode of Pariah Nexus stomps into view with glowing red eyes and fetching green armour. Citadel Colour Masterclass continues their series of Pariah Nexus-themed tutorials with an invaluable guide to painting freehand flame effects, and Loremasters peers into the mysterious ways of the Necron Deathmarks. Why Deathmarks, you ask? Oh, no reason…
