I'll be a very very sad puppy whenever they stop giving me more books with these characters. I really will because this gang owns my heart so completely, I won't know what to do with myself once there's no more.

When I began this book I really thought I’d be completely lost and I’d just understand the gist of what was happening but boi was I wrong. It was so easy to follow and most of the things that happened in the previous books were explained. Obviously there were some things I missed and didn’t get since I jumped five books but whatever. Twenty-eight-year-old Thatcher Moretti is painfully professional. As the stern 24/7 bodyguard to Jane, thinking about unbridled sex with his sweet client is a sin. One that he keeps committing. I gotta admit I was not really enjoying it. This has not happened to me for any of the Addicted books before, so that’s unsettling. I just felt so annoyed for whatever reason. I know it’s in Moffy’s character to push himself for his loved ones, but dang, that boy needs to stop stressing so much because it stresses me out. There are also some choices made in this book where I’m like, really??? I mean I know they’re characters who are learning and growing. I admit it, I was just impatient, and even though I felt bad for the characters, there were not enough emotional, soul-consuming scenes, or enough sweet, cute moments (which every other Addicted book had.) Damaged Like Us is a book I would recommend to all fans of the Addicted series, m/m lovers, and lovers of romance alike. It was a great start to this next generation series and I can’t wait to read more!!! The Donnelley farrow and Oscar trio still have me in a chokehold bc I loved every scene with them together this time around too.
