About this deal

Faith in Nature * bottles are made of recycled plastic, and can be recycled after use. Large 1-litre and 5-litre bottles are also available for many of the company's wonderful body washes, shampoos and conditioners. These products are made with natural ingredients, and are free from artificial colours, fragrances and parabens. When the yellow citric acid solution is mixed with the blue baking soda solution (sodium hydrogen carbonate) a chemical reaction takes place. Lots of carbon dioxide bubbles are formed in a very short period of time – and by carefully mixing them we can achieve the green colour again!

Swap the essential oil for 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 6 drops of chamomile, and add 2 tablespoons of honey for a softening mix. If you don't care about bubbles, but do want to relax with a soothing scent, try adding essential oils to a bath. Many essential oils can irritate the skin, so take care – it's best to stir them into a little olive oil or coconut oil first, or add a few drops to a cup of Epsom salts. Skin-friendly oils include lavender, geranium and chamomile – all are calming and will help promote a restful night's sleep.Combine the hot water and SLSa powder in a glass measuring cup or bowl. Whisk until the SLSa is completely dissolved. To make a lavender bubble bath, start by combining the liquid soap, honey, and coconut oil in a mixing bowl. Or better still, have them refill a glass bottle or other type of sustainable container. Refilling makes for a somewhat eco friendly bubble bath – regardless of the ingredients used.

There’s really no way around it: because you need surfactants, you’ll need to use a store-bought soap or strong chemical surfactant to make your own bubble bath. Mild Body Wash or Shower Gel Essential oils: Blankenship suggests using 15 drops of essential oils to give your soak an invigorating aroma. Her favorites are lavender, eucalyptus, lemongrass, balsam fir, and rose geranium, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand, here. You may also want to start with a few drops and work your way up; because you'll be soaking for some time, you want to make sure the essential oils won't irritate your skin.

Stir thoroughly to ensure that the oatmeal powder is evenly distributed. For added fragrance, consider stirring in a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Then, transfer the oatmeal bubble bath mixture into a clean container with a tight-fitting lid. Honey Bubble Bath Taking a shower might get the job done, a soak in the tub actually feels like a treat. And a bubble bath? That is next-level awesomeness! The kids love it, and you love it, so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t include a luxurious bath in your weekly/monthly/whenever-you-can routine. Relax Joint Therapy Epsom Salts– This bath soak is infused with vitamins and minerals designed to alleviate aches, pains, and inflammation. The product is made in the USA from natural ingredients and comes in a reusable bottle. Everyone can agree that taking a bath is wonderful for both the body and the mind. Scroll down to learn how to make bubble bath from scratch—no fancy ingredients required. And we're sharing 6 homemade bubble bath recipes that are free of harsh chemicals and artificial scents. And did we mention they are totally easy, too? Despite what you might have read elsewhere on the internet, Castile soap is a horrible (really horrible!) homemade bubble bath. Because it’s a mild, oil-based soap with very little sudsing ability, you’ll be hard-pressed to get any bubbles out of it. Oh, and it turns the water gray, which makes your soaking experience a little gross. Baby Shampoo

Each year more than 45 billion sanitary pads are disposed of – and many of these contain plastics that don't break down for hundreds of years. But there are many reusable options on the market, from Mooncups to cloth pads. Glass bottles are recyclable, but if you want to go truly zero-waste, look for products that come in reusable bottles, like this Argan Oil & Rose Bubble Bath from FunkySoapLondon. Not only does this product smell divine, but comes in a vintage-style glass bottle that you can easily reuse for other personal care products, or even in the kitchen! Bath salts When atoms (or groups of atoms) lose or gain electrons, charged particles called ions are formed. Ions can be either positively (lost electrons) or negatively (gained electrons) charged. Many supermarket cotton buds are now made with paper – but the trouble is that most are still sold in plastic bags or boxes. Fizzing bath bombs don’t produce bubbles, but they still make for a fun bath time for little ones and an invigorating bath for adults. Not only are there plenty of bath bombs made of natural ingredients, they’re often zero-waste too.To enjoy the invigorating scent and luxurious bubbles with a relaxing peppermint bubble bath, combine the liquid castile soap, vegetable glycerin, coconut oil, and honey in a bowl. If you don’t have a refill store near you, but do have a Body Shop, then the good news is that the Body Shop now offers a refill scheme. Whilst they don’t offer refillable bubble bath yet, you can get refillable shower gel. I’ve always found that shower gel makes for a perfectly acceptable bubble bath. 5 Litre Shampoo As Bubble Bath A soothing and nourishing oatmeal bubble bath can help soothe sore skin, the perfect bubble bath for sensitive skin. If you want to treat yourself to a relaxing and rejuvenating soak, then try out this bubble bath recipe. Drizzle bubble bath under running water as the tub fills. Add more bubble bath as needed to create more bubbles. How To Create Lots of Bubbles Typical indicators are phenolphthalein, methyl orange, methyl red, bromothymol blue, and thymol blue. They each change colour at different points on the pH scale, and can be used together as a universal indicator.

Well, SLSa (sodium lauryl sulfoacetate) is a surfactant that looks and sounds similar but is actually completely different from SLS. SLSa is a safe, non-irritating cleanser derived from coconut and palm oils. At the molecular level, SLSa has a large molecule (unlike the small molecule of SLS), which doesn’t penetrate the skin easily or cause irritation like other surfactants. It’s also the main ingredient in many store-bought shampoos and body washes. If you want to go zero-waste, products that come in glass bottles are a good option. With growing consciousness in the community around plastic, we’re seeing more shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and even bubble bath in glass containers. Source: Etsy / FunkySoapLondon
