The Joolz Aer comes straight out of the box ready to unfold and go, with no assembly needed. The box is itself a Joolz feature, with eye-catching instructions for turning it into a toy airplane for your child. Keep in mind that just because someone says “I took this stroller on board and it fit” isn’t an indication that a stroller will fit in the overhead for you. Different airlines have different size restrictions so if your stroller exceeds them the crew has the right to say no or might let it slide (but then it’s also not guaranteed that the stroller will actually fit in the bin). Better get the smaller fold and be safe than sorry and stressed later!

This buggy doesn’t just look good, though. Both soft and practical, our tester put it through its paces over a whopping 50 miles and there were no signs of wear and tear after testing was complete. Its accompanying instructions are minimal, but adequate and clear. Visual assembly instructions are available on the Joolz YouTube channel if needed and are straightforward to follow. The care instructions also couldn’t be simpler as they are presented in bullet-point form. The basket in particular will appeal to those who like to load up with baby essentials for a day out. If it’s purely a travel option, you might want something less expensive depending on how much travelling you’re likely to do. There’s also a bumper bar for younger babies to give added peace of mind and a carry bag for storing the pushchair when folded, a particularly useful addition when travelling.It’s a dream to fold and unfold one-handed in one fluid movement, which makes it particularly useful to store and to use on public transport. I did get the measuring tape out for this and found that it MIGHT be 1cm deeper and 1cm longer. But I’m not convinced even with my own measuring skills. I could have been holding the tape measure wrong. IF there’s a difference, it’s very very small! Joolz Aer+ Footboard I believe the basket may have a bigger volume – I will update with exact numbers when I have that information available to me. But I wouldn’t have noticed a difference if I hadn’t heard that it was supposed to be a bigger basket. We've improved the wheel design, providing 4-wheel suspension for a smooth ride, and added LED light compatibility for safety in low-light conditions. The Aer+ is sturdy and well-engineered, with a premium feel that sets it apart. The generous shoulder strap and foldable bumper bar makes it incredibly easy to carry the stroller wherever you go. Firstly, there is no size or meaningful weight difference. No change to the dimensions (open or folded). The advertised weight looks like the it’s gone from 6.3kgs for the Aer to 6.4kgs for the Aer+. It’s probably rounded up to an extra 100g because all I can see that could possibly add weight would be the larger hood having a bit more fabric. So not really heavier in any meaningful way. With a higher seat to truly last the years as your child grows and premium-feel materials, the Aer+ is both stylish and functional. And best of all, it comes pre-assembled in the box, so you can start using it right away! Its deep scoop shape ensures things won’t fall out and you can fit two small carrier bags worth of shopping in there, in addition to an average-sized changing bag. It’s also quite sturdy and feels like it could take a good weighing down. The sun hood on the original Joolz Aer was one of the more generous sun hoods on a travel stroller, but the Joolz Aer+ took things a whole lot further! When the sun hood is extended the Joolz Aer+ comes down so far that your little one will have nearly complete protection from sun, wind and weather. However, the stroller is compact enough to fit behind the front seats in the car so you don’t have to lose any trunk space. One of the times when the stroller fit – American Airlines intercontinental routeIt folds & unfolds incredibly well with one hand and the seat is sturdy and tall, plus has a ton of storage which is a huge plus for a travel stroller. Because of the strap issues most of the time I wasn’t even able to strap the top straps when a child wiggled. Is Joolz Aer Suitable for a Newborn? The recline is deeper offering near flat recline (in the European version at least, because it’s not as deep US & Australian versions due to recline laws on compact strollers – it makes the stroller less stable).
