The Dream House Move …. to the ideal suburban neighbourhood of Blenheim is a fresh start for Salma Khatun, her husband Bil, and their teenage son Zain. Although forced to move, their relocation is rewarded with a beautiful home, nice neighbours, and a great school, and when invited to the family barbecue next door the families, including the two sons realise, they have a lot in common.

The true story of an unhappy wife who ran away. The true-crime of a happy family who lived – and so tragically died – in Lana and Roman’s new home. Salma Khatun is extremely hopeful about Blenheim, the safe suburban development to which she, her husband and their son have just moved. Their family is in need of a fresh start, and Blenheim feels like the right place to make that happen. Not long after they move in, Salma spots her neighbour, Tom Hutton, ripping out the anti-racist banner she put in her front garden. She chooses not to confront Tom because she wants to fit in. It's a small thing really. No need to make a fuss. So, Salma takes the banner inside and puts it in her window instead. But the next morning she wakes to find her window smeared with paint. As Lana struggles to adjust to her new life in Paradise, she becomes convinced that her new neighbours are hiding something from her, something connected with the deaths of the family who lived in her house before she did, something that could put her own life in danger... Took me a good 10% to ‘settle’ into this book, not sure why?, maybe we are so used to the big starts now that any ‘build up’ seems laborious BUT once I had settled what a thriller this turned intoI couldn't leave the book for a minute until I'd discovered how it would all end ... A brilliant book.'

The twists in this book are unexpected and absolutely jaw dropping. Tony has you questioning your every assumption, taking a breather because so much is happening and I just needed to read it, I didn't want to stop! Kia Abdullah is the queen of thought-provoking, smart, and twisty domestic thrillers, as well as riveting legal thrillers. She creates remarkable, multilayered characters with unique voices, providing their different perspectives and directing us into their dramatic and traumatizing lives. As Lana struggles to adjust to her new life in paradise, she begins to believe that these events are somehow connected. Finishing this book last night, I was left musing about how I felt about the book. It was definitely addictive reading and kept me hooked. The parts which left me wondering, were, I felt, a little too far-fetched. As communication breaks down between all parties, the neighborhood rapidly turns into a suburban battleground.Tony Parsons (born 6 November 1953) is a British journalist broadcaster and author. He began his career as a music journalist on the NME, writing about punk music. Later, he wrote for The Daily Telegraph, before going on to write his current column for the Daily Mirror. Parsons was for a time a regular guest on the BBC Two arts review programme The Late Show, and still appears infrequently on the successor Newsnight Review; he also briefly hosted a series on Channel 4 called Big Mouth. I think this might be Tony Parsons' best book yet! I could not put it down, I was gripped the whole way through. I finished the book devastated it was over. I needed more, not because it left anything unfinished, but just because the book was that good I wanted to keep reading it.
