However, the flip side is some fans expect the comic Question to be identical to his animated appearance and are confused by his different personality points. According to Miller, “When I did the first one, I was very much rebelling against all the established stuff, like the old TV show. Just how lame all the stuff had become. This time, I’m finding that I’m playing around with DC’s whole pantheon of characters and trying to show them off in ways that feature the joys behind them.” Wonder Woman is also depicted with an overt hatred of men in this setting. Her first scene has her angrily pushing her way past a civilian man on the street whilst calling him a "sperm bank". The rest of her dialogue and inner thoughts shows that she seems to view men in general as worthless. The one exception is Superman. Her reaction to Batman's actions is to suggest killing him and handing his head over to the authorities. And no, she wasn't kidding about that.

Intimate Healing: Superman is completely healed of his injuries after having sex with Wonder Woman. According to Miller himself, this was done to highlight the fact that women are "nurturers and life givers". When reflecting on his drive behind returning to superheroes to write Strikes Again, Miller said, “Fifteen years away from it has given me a much different perspective. I’m much more able to approach it like I’m 7 years old than I used to be able to.”
