Description

While the DJI FPV is arguably the most fun DJI drone to fly, its video and stills functionality is limited compared to Mavic and Phantom series drones. Still, the video capabilities on offer are still impressive for an FPV drone. If you want to power your Goggles 2 from a 3S, 4S or even 6S LiPo battery, consider getting the Speedybee Goggles BEC: https://oscarliang.com/speedybee-goggles-bec/ When using the battery charging hub, the batteries will be charged in sequence according to their power levels, from high to low.

Note: It has been some time since I started the project and it has become much bigger than I initially thought. Therefore, I will split the project into several sub-projects. Logs that disappeared here reappear there ;)If you are using multiple batteries, it can also help to keep them all at the same level of charge. Solder a big low ESR capacitor to your ESC/LiPo power pads as per normal builds, or even better, also add a 330uF capacitor to the Vista power and ground pads. The capacitors will prevent freeze frames issues related to noisy power supply, especially on powerful setups. Edit History The DJI FPV measures 255 x 312 x 127 millimeters and weighs 795 grams. This makes the DJI FPV substantially larger and heavier than most other FPV drones, likely because of all the extra hardware that you would normally not find in a DIY FPV drone. Video output from DJI FPV Goggles (both V1 and V2) is now possible, you can do so on both PC (Windows, Linux and MacOS) as well as smartphone (only Android). All you need is a USB-C data cable, and follow instructions here. Both drones come with AirSense, the DJI feature that uses an ADS-B receiver to warn the drone pilot of any nearby manned aircraft. This feature has become a standard in modern DJI drones and is nice to have if you’re planning to fly in an area with lots of air traffic. Price

You can actually wear your glasses while using the DJI FPV goggles, and I find no discomfort in doing so. But if you must, you can get these corrective lenses for your DJI Goggles according to your eyesight. These are also known as “lens diopters” in Fatshark Goggles. Although the flight time stated by DJI is impressive, the actual flight time is likely to be shorter. Flying manual at high speed and doing fancy maneuvers can drain a lot of power from the battery. Many owners of the DJI FPV find that they can only fly their drones for about 10 minutes when doing aggressive flight. The same disparity can be expected of the DJI Avata. Transmission and remote controller ParameterJust make sure that you select a battery that is compatible with your specific drone model so that you do not run into any compatibility issues. DJI FPV Battery Hibernation Third-party Corrective lenses with finer Myopia degree options: https://oscarliang.com/product-bkhc The bottom line is, even intelligent drone batteries need care. And when they do, you should see this prompt appear on your FPV goggles: “Intelligent Flight Battery requires maintenance.” But there is one key difference between the DJI FPV and the company's other drones. While the Mavic series can automatically stop when the sensors detect an obstacle, the FPV will simply slow down and alert you to the presence of danger – you must adjust flight yourself to avoid a collision. So, even in 'Normal' mode, you still need to take a great amount of care when flying the DJI FPV. The batteries may be old or damaged. If this is the case, it may be time to invest in new batteries.
