I took a seat in her living area and a few moments later she placed a pot of lemon tea I hadn’t asked for in front of me. It was accompanied by a china cup which may once have been beautiful, but which was now scarred by glazing which had become tessellated over many years of use. Not everything was easy for this pair but they were determined to make their relationship their own. Adriana knows she has 3 little people who depend on her and she definitely put their needs before her own. Not only are the plot and the characters well developed but the story is heartbreaking, heartwarming and there are moments when you will shed a tear or two. When a book moves you to feel all these emotions, you know you have found a winner. Hands down this is my favorite book in the series. I don't think Gabe and Adriana could be any sweeter.

Fire and Temptation" is written by Melanie Shawn, and it is the 16th book in the Hope Falls series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Evan Bishop and Shayne Fox. Lauren keeps everything in her control- her business, her appearance, and her emotions. She never experienced or expected the visceral reactions she had toward Ben. He was good-looking and knew it. A spoiled celebrity. Ben wanted and had relationships with no work and no substance. His total focus was on his family and being in character for his fans. Harper, the heroine is affectionate, cheerful, kind, hardworking and courageous. Also, Luke, the male protagonist is funny, sweet, mysterious and intense. Something happened to him that he is not able to forget and that has made him not able to advance in many aspects of his life. Other characters that appear in the story include Aldo, Sophie, Gloria, Claire, Charlie, Frank, Joni, and Ty who are essential to the story.
