In 2020 VOA created an online version of RST for health workers and others called Resilience Strength Time (ReST). Free ReST sessions run a few times a week, and attendees sign up for as many as they want. To that end, Litz and his colleagues published a comprehensive paper on moral injury in 2009, outlining common moral struggles veterans were facing and proposing a treatment approach that involved making personally meaningful reparations for harm done. He noted, too, that not all “potentially morally injurious events” cause moral injury. If you kill someone, and you feel totally justified in having done so, you may not experience moral injury at all. Moral injury tends to turn up when you have a vision of the world as fundamentally fair and good and something you’ve done or witnessed destroys that vision.

Liszt's piano works are usually divided into two categories: original works, and transcriptions, paraphrases, or fantasies on works by other composers. Examples of his own works are Harmonies poétiques et religieuses of May 1833 and the Piano Sonata in B minor (1853). Liszt's transcriptions of other composers include Schubert songs, fantasies on operatic melodies, and his piano arrangements of symphonies by Hector Berlioz and Ludwig van Beethoven. Liszt also made piano arrangements of his own instrumental and vocal works, such as the arrangement of the second movement " Gretchen" of his Faust Symphony, the first " Mephisto Waltz," the " Liebesträume No. 3," and the two volumes of his " Buch der Lieder."See Berlioz's essay about Beethoven's Trios and Sonatas, in: Musikalische Streifzüge, transl. It is particularly true when the component is submitted to a high-frequency switching with high current variations (for example resonant chokes with full wave excitation). Of course, other design considerations will be important to reduce the copper losses at the minimum, such as the winding structure (bifilar, concentric, multi-level interleaving…) or the core design (single or multigap…). Litz wire conductors are well known and massively used in magnetic components dedicated to power electronic applications to reduce copper losses versus frequency. However, their modelization could remain complex or not fully fixed for an accurate prediction of the final temperature rise in the windings of switching transformers or resonant inductors. The best wire selection and accurate computing of its losses remain in the first position for high power density converters optimization. In July 1854, Liszt stated in his essay about Berlioz and Harold in Italy that not all music was program music. If in the heat of a debate, a person would go so far as to claim the contrary, it would be better to put all ideas of program music aside. But it would be possible to take means like harmony, modulation, rhythm, instrumentation, and others to let a musical motif endure a fate. In any case, a program should be added to a piece of music only if it was necessarily needed for an adequate understanding of that piece.

In most cases, the lyrics were in German or French, but there are also some songs in Italian, Russian, and Hungarian, and one song in English. Liszt began with the song "Angiolin dal biondo crin" in 1839, and, by 1844, had composed about two dozen songs. Some of them had been published as single pieces. In addition, there was an 1843–1844 series Buch der Lieder. The series had been projected for three volumes, consisting of six songs each, but only two volumes appeared. In early 2021 emergency room physician Torree McGowan hoped the worst of the pandemic was behind her. She and her colleagues had adapted to the COVID-causing virus, donning layers of protection before seeing each patient, but they’d managed to keep things running smoothly. The central Oregon region where McGowan lived—a high desert plateau ringed by snow-capped mountains—had largely escaped the first COVID waves that slammed areas such as New York City.

When the strand diameter is selected, the number to consider will depend on the acceptable current density in the windings of the magnetic devices. Even if the total copper losses and the hotspot temperature shall be determined afterward, some additional design rules can be preliminary applied to confirm a possible diameter of the final conductor to use (table 3).A key parameter to quantify this perturbating current distribution over the surface of the conductor is the skin depth expressed below (figure 4). It is well admitted that the first choice for the conductor diameter must always remain below 2δ (dconductor < 2δ) not to see a noticeable increase in its resistance. For instance, an easy calculation at 7δ diameter leads to twice the DCR value (figure 5). The inscription "In magnis et voluisse sat est" ("In great things, to have wished them is sufficient") had in Liszt's youth been correlated with his friend Felix Lichnowski. Even if moral injury research is a young and growing field, scientists and clinicians already agree that a key step toward healing for morally injured people—whether in therapy or not—has to do with grasping the true nature of what they’re facing. They’re not hopeless, “bad seeds” or uniquely irredeemable. They may not fit the criteria for PTSD or another mental illness. Instead they’re suffering from a severe disconnect between the moral principles they live by and the reality of what is happening or has happened. From a practical standpoint, it is not always easy to quantify the increase of copper losses versus frequency. For a 2-winding transformer, it can be possible to have an overview of the total AC copper losses by measuring its impedance versus frequency viewed from the primary side with the secondary shorted. Here, the core has normally no influence on the Rac measurement (ampere-turns cancelation or with remaining fully negligible magnetic induction) which is not the case for single chokes where such measurement must be taken with a lot of precaution because of a representative of core+copper losses at the end. In applications where multiple wires carrying the same current lie side-by-side, such as in inductor and transformer windings, a second similar effect called proximity effect causes additional current crowding, resulting in an additional increase in the resistance of the wire with frequency. In two wires running parallel next to each other, with the same alternating current flowing in both wires, the magnetic field of the adjacent wire induces longitudinal eddy currents in the wire which causes the current to be concentrated in a narrow strip on the side adjacent to the other wire. This has a similar effect as the skin effect; the current is crowded into a smaller cross-sectional area of the wire, so the resistance increases. Litz wire reduces the increase in resistance of wire that takes place at higher AC frequencies due to two effects: skin effect and proximity effect.
