About this deal

Chainaxe [Redemptor Priest, Deacon, Redemptionist Brethren]: Incredible value for an excellent weapon. And you can put an exterminator on it! What’s not to love? Rating: A The Holy Relic gives an aura of +1 to hit and wound for surrounding Cawdor, which is an absolute steal for 30 credits. Maybe this isn’t most flavorful of the gang relics, but it is very good . That being said, it can only be used in Home Turf games, so it will really only feature rarely in anyone’s games. Emperor’s Wrath Rounds: This ammo turns the Blunderbuss into the less-good side of the Combat Shotgun, which is good, but at 35 credits, it is far too pricey for what it does. It’s a better idea to give your blunderpolers a Reclaimed Autogun if you want them to have more of a ranged threat.

Any time GW makes terrain for Necromunda it is a good day. It also lets us know that the game is being supported well! Highlights of the kit have to be the random exotic weapons and the MUNG VASE. The rest of the sprues have very cool components; most are integral to how the kits are intended to be built, but also some that could be used anywhere to add new details. Dylan is very excited that he didn’t finish his own trading post that he started building earlier this year. Now he has a source for even more grimdark bits and bobs! In Conclusion Blasting Charges [anyone]: Top choice for bomb rats. The excellent Strength and damage make up for the reduced range. Rating: B+ House Cawdor appears to be named after the real-life Scottish Clan Cawdor, made famous in Shakespeare's play Macbeth, where the eponymous anti-hero becomes Thane (Clan leader) of Cawdor at the start of the play: hence Thane and Thane's Law. Choke Gas Grenades [Word-Keeper, Redemptor Priest, Firebrand, Deacon]: Interesting, but really too expensive to be worth it. Rating: D The Cawdor are a filthy rabble, armed with archaic weapons made of trash and their faith. Your gang can also include (or be totally composed of) the much more refined and better-equipped Redemptionists. This means you really have two gangs in one. If you like playing with the unshakable faith of the Emperor, House Cawdor and the Redemptionists may be the gang for you. Strengths of the GangKrak Grenades [anyone]: We guess these make sense if you play against Enforcers in every game, but otherwise you’re better off avoiding them. Rating: D- The Cult's origin was in the violent Underhives of Necromunda, where the original Redemptionists saw the lives of toil of the hive inhabitants, the unreachable luxury of the nobles and the violent anarchy of the Underhive and concluded that they were in a living hell. Heresy (denying the truth of the Redemption, or working against Redemptionists or worst of all worshiping Chaos)

Redemptionists often arm themselves with whatever comes to hand upon the onset of a crusade or mob gathering. Though Flame Weapons or Chain Weapons are most favored. A strict adherence to the vengeful spirit of the Imperial Creed is the first step down the road to becoming a Redemptionist. Faithful communities from all across the Imperium of Man produce Redemptionists and their cults. Acts of Faith: House Cawdor’s special gang ability is one of the best and most fun on the books. They passively generate faith dice that can be rolled for in-game miracles. This ability costs no credits and can be used in any battle. It is a major reason why post- House of Faith Cawdor gangs are so rightly feared.

Blazing Faith: The fighter with this skill can still act normally under the Blaze condition (though they still take damage as normal), and is immune to the Insanity condition. So, this one’s situational, but if you have more than one Cawdor gang in your local playgroup, any other Cawdor players will despise you for showing up to a game with this skill. What if we told you that you could take the fanatical version of the Brethren for 5 credits more than the regular Brethren, but with no real stat upgrades, no access to blunderpoles, and without the Devout Masses rule? Are you curious as to why anyone would do this? So are we! Redemptionist Brethren get access to the special Redemptionist weaponry, which is cool and all, but there are no blunderpoles in sight. They can throw exterminators on their basic weapons (and some of their close combat weapons), but it’s just not the same, man. The sauce here is taking one Redemptionist Brethren as your Specialist and giving them a grenade launcher for some cheapo crowd control. A crusade destroys abominations and battles Heretics as they find them. The Redemption priest will preach to the locals of wherever the cult happens to be located and reaffirm their faith while the cult's brethren take a tithe of their produce or "request" that they make a donation to the collection plate.
