Comments:I love the new Sienna Fg. The 2000 model is very smooth, and quiet and for the price. The quality can't be beaten. It has a lay-line that is well closed and covered and that has been aided with bearings that make it smoother and spontaneous. In terms of drag power, you will only get up to 20 lb in the largest model. The smallest models only give 6 pounds of drag, which is extremely low and only sufficient for panfish. Casting with A Single Hand This reel is not a new product. Endless users of the device have used it for over 15 years. However, the present version has had many improvements and changes in configuration. This makes it one of the most in-demand fishing reels in the entire market in its price range. The 500 and 1000 models of the Sienna are perfect for throwing light lures with an ultralight spinning rod for throwing lures for crappie and fishing trout in rivers and streams, as well as blue gill and other panfish. Pair them with the best braid line and some great fluorocarbon leader, and you have a great outfit in your hands.

Having been in the Shimano range for over a decade now, many a newbie has cut their fishing teeth on the Shimano Sienna reel. There have been a few incarnations of the Sienna, but the principal has remained the same. Simple, robust, extraordinarily capable and a delight to use. All this is true of the Latest Sienna FG Reel model. The greatest change is its more contemporary styling. This is due by and large to the G-Free body, which also offers a low centre of gravity making it even easier to use. Sienna is inexpensive, but we cannot classify it as a low-end reel, so you can ignore this disadvantage. When used, both models, both RD and FD, performed very well. The front drag Sienna is more popular, but that doesn’t mean your choice should be based on that. Choose the type of reel that suits you best. Shimano Sienna Highlights Shimano reels are used every year in world fishing competitions, and professionals using Shimano equipment collect awards in these competitions every year. Their world-renowned reels use the very best manufacturing techniques. For example, high-efficiency gearing (HEG), Dyna-Balance grips, or Super Stopper anti-reverse technology. It is quite remarkable how good the less expensive Shimano reels are. If you are an experienced angler looking to buy a reel for a new fisherman, a youngster or perhaps you want a spare reel for your own use, you’ll be surprised at how good the Sienna feels. Whilst it might not have the technology of the more expensive Shimano models, it is still a Shimano and that counts for a lot. It’s a reel that any young or inexperienced angler would want to own and use. This is one of the best and most unique features of the Shimano Sienna Front Drag. As you know, almost all spinning reels have the same problem – line twisting. The special design secures the line securely to the reel without creating kinks and twists during casting. Also, models with a front drag have a propulsion spool lip with an S guard and an S arm cam. Line Varispeed Oscillation

Shimano Sienna spool is a hybrid Shimano/Nautilus design. It is made of cast aluminum and machined stainless steel. The Sienna 4000 FG has 3+1 bearings, and the RE has 1+1. Comments:I only use a spinning reel once or twice a year, but when I do, the Shimano Sienna takes care of business. I am always tempted to get a Stradic, but simply haven't felt the need. You can cast with a single hand. Depending on the size you can get over 150 yards of line capacity. The Shimano Sienna smart fishing reel has been configured in every way to meet your needs during casting.

The line capacity (Mono) is the same in both models, from 160 yds for a 12-pound test, to 240 yds for an 8-pound test. The casing of any fishing reel is one of the key aspects that need to be considered. The casing is one thing that makes a fishing reel last for a longer time. There are plenty of features in this device, including the well-crafted rotor, side plates, and gearbox. The FD and RD versions of the reel have many similar characteristics, but still, slightly differ. If you do not know which type of these two to choose, then here we have presented the differences between these two-reel versions. This feature eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing, an approach similar to car tire balancing, Shimano is able to redistribute the rotor weight to create smooth rotation and eliminate vibrations caused by the reel. This product isn’t just for anglers looking for a cheap reel. but also for those who take fishing seriously. The Sienna has all the same professional features as the more expensive Shimano reels. Super Stopper II and Dyna-Balance are just the beginning of the list of useful features in this reel. And these features are available to you at a very low cost. The Shimano Sienna high-tech reel has one of the best sets of gears among similarly priced products. Pros I personally use a Sienna 2000 paired with an Arrowz Bream Crank rod, and it has exceeded my expectations. The drag is incredibly smooth, and I can cast long distances with ease. It also has a steady retrieve that makes reeling in a joy. I’ve even caught fish up to 37cm without any issues. This prevents the reel from rusting and allows you to use it for many years. Besides, the Shimano Sienna uses much of the same technology as the more expensive reels. This includes Dyna-Balance, Super Stopper II, Varispeed, and more. This is what makes the Sienna stand out from the competition. It is very difficult to find a similar reel with such technologies for such a price. So the Sienna is a very powerful budget fishing model. Shimano Sienna Comparison With Reels Of Other Brands They are well outlined with a hard casing that provides the essential balance to the reel. The Shimano Sienna reel is well-made and will last for years, but this isn’t a reel you will hand down to the next generation. Shimano is a Japanese company that has been providing anglers with fishing gear for the last 60 years, and this product is one such signature item from them. Shimano are one of my favorite brands because of its engineering focus and quality craftsmanship. Excellent Drag – No Need to Drag Hard

Comments:Very good reel for the money. Bought to have a spare on a trip to Lake Erie. Ended up using the reel most of the week and caught several 4 to 5 pound smallmouth and up to 10 pound drum. Used the reel throwing Ned rigs. Again very good reel plan on buying another!Mechanical drag is caused by the friction between your reel’s gears and the spool. Fishing line drag is caused by the tension on your fishing line. The more tension you have on your line, the more fishing line drag you’ll experience. This is not a premium reel, but it does offer some great value-for-money features and is well constructed for its price range. If you are on a budget and looking for a spinning reel that won’t break down, then I would certainly rate the Shimano Sienna. There are plenty of reels that are better, but few that are better in the same price range. Types of Shimano Sienna Reels
