She realises that she is going have to do something really drastic to set herself free from him ruling over her.I am still grateful for my 20 year old self for breaking me out of corporate and into self employment. 20 years on and I would not change anything for anyone. My life is a joy and there is no way I would be experiencing such magic if I hadn’t have broken out of a soul destroying career. YES we struggled for money at the start and YES I have had to sacrifice in some areas but the well being and sense of freedom I now enjoy is worth it 10 times over. There is no other path like it. When the will is read she discovers she had been betrayed by her father. She decides to take control of her life and go travelling anyway. The volume contains four works, all prose, by Walter Scott as "the Author of Waverley". The first three are now known as The Keepsake Stories. I am not sure that serious archeologists would truly appreciate this book, and I don’t know if Dr. Gerritsen had Halloween in mind when she wrote it, but whatever inspired her to come up with this premise, it made a terrific plot. The twisted killer’s familiarity with post-mortem rituals suggests to Maura and Jane that he may have scientific expertise in common with Josephine.
