About this deal

I really like the cashew pieces on this one – they add some crunch and are a refreshing change from the crispies you find on pretty much every protein bar these days. Mint chocolate has really grown on me, and I no longer consider it toothpaste with a twist. A pretty standard protein bar flavour, Barebells’ mint offering doesn’t match the likes of Grenade, but it’s a pleasant bar for mint fanatics (but not if you’re expecting dark chocolate). Sweetness– Not too sweet, but sweetened with sugar alcohols to the perfect level. A few of them have a good balance of salty & sweet. This Barebells protein bar tastes just like Nutella. The texture is soft and chewy, the Nutella layer is gooey and creamy, and it’s everything I hoped it would be. White chocolate almonds have the protein same as salty peanut and the other protein bars, and the only major difference is that it’s got 20 grams of carbs in a single serving, which is a little higher than the salty peanut barebells protein bar.

There are hundreds of protein bar brands available in the market, and every year or two, more and more businesses are hopping into the company with their products. Barebells is one such product that has been making a lot of buzz since the last year. Enter the protein bar, a convenient way to get some extra protein in your diet when you're on the go. One of the main things I noticed when trying these was the texture. They’re not chalky at all, but also not too chewy (at least in this flavor.) It’s hard to find a protein bar with a good texture, so I was really impressed with that. In terms of flavor, this bar actually reminds me of a Twix bar, which is one of my favorite candy bars of all time. Also, the thin strip of caramel hardly provides any real flavor. Uhg, I feel like I wasted money, but at the same time, I’m glad I finally just tried it out for myself. In general, this is a decent protein bar. Barebells delivers with the macros on all their bars, and the texture is good. Flavour-wise it’s also pleasant, but there’s nothing overall amazing about this bar, not a lot to rant about. Certainly not disappointing, but certainly not astounding either. Coconut-Choco (4/10) Upon taking the first bite, you’re hit with a marvellous roasted peanut flavour, the hint of salt really working to give it a depth of flavour you wouldn’t expect from a protein bar. The peanut pieces on the top are lovely, slightly crunchy and well covered by the creamy chocolate coating. However, you should know that plant-based protein bars are not as high as regular ones. Vegan protein bars have more calories, carbs, fat, and low protein than standard protein bars.

When Fulfil discontinued the ‘ Lemon Zinger’ I was more than a little bitter (pun fully intended). Although Barebell’s attempt isn’t quite as good, it’s certainly not bad. It’s not bad at all. Ingredients: Milk protein, humectant (glycerol), collagen peptides, sweetener (maltitol), polydextrose, cocoa butter, water, cashew nuts, milk powder, sunflower oil, cocoa mass, peanut paste ( peanuts, peanut oil), cocoa powder, flavouring, emulsifier ( soy lecithin), sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfam K). Nutrition facts– 190-200 calories/bar. 7-8g fat. 50-105mg sodium. 19-20g carbs. 3-4g fiber. 1-2g sugar. 13-14g sugar alcohols. 20g protein. But the combination of nougat, caramel, and peanuts makes this eat very much like a candy bar, especially when compared to most other protein bar options out there. There is no artificial flavor or protein taste, making this a really delicious bar.

Barebells sure love their sprinkles – this bar is adorned with some white disks which, although cute, have no discernible purpose or relation to fudge whatsoever. But, unnecessary adornments aside, the bar is deliciously sweet – as you would expect fudge to be. To make things easier, we asked nutritionist extraordinaire Jenna Hope to give an expert verdict on some of the most popular protein bars on the market right now (as well as subjecting them to a very rigorous taste test ourselves – it's a hard job, but someone's got to do it!). This protein bar is good enough that even if every other flavor of Barebells protein bars was extremely average, I would still consider them the best protein bar on the market.Barebells have two different plant-based protein bars; Hazelnut Nougat and Salty peanut vegan protein bars.
